I was doing the B service and the air ducts I bought on Amazon were completely destroyed. I only mention this as other have used these in the past few years, it may be worth checking yours. It was not obvious until I disconnected the airboxes.
On the hunt for a suitable replacement.

Yeah my Amazon (actually from Autozone, but the same product) intake hoses did the same thing, although not quite as bad. The high heat from the turbos is too much for them, I think they would be fine in a lower-heat engine compartment. I just replaced them with the same thing again, because I don't have a Mercedes dealer in my town and I didn't want to wait for shipping. I've considered wrapping mine with the silver thermal tape to protect them, although it wouldn't be cheap. But probably cheaper than replacing them every few years.
