2014 GL450
2014 p0391 & p0392

2014 GL450, 130k Miles. On the way to work car dies will not re-start and throws the codes.

I have swapped the cam sensors bank 1 to bank 2 to see if the error followed the parts & it did not. I replaced the bank 2 sensors with the new green o-ring, no change. Cleaned the connectors which were covered in oil and found some out of place electrical tape. Pulled it back and found the following. I am going to clean / retape, but now I'm nervous about subsequent issues.
Questions:
A - Would this be enough of an issue (tape is old/brittle and looks like 2 different wires are involved) to throw a code?
B - Is there a part (like the sacrificial pig tail for the prior model) where I can get some source wires to splice a new connection?
Any advice would be appreciated. We've loved this thing and driven it daily for six months with no real issues.

* Pulled the ECM, oil has not wicked its way all the way through. Cleaning the connections. I've searched the threads and there's no real resolution I can find except replacing the Cam Sensors. Then it seems to jump to harness replacement. Is there an in-between?

That is not a reason for car not to start. I have dead cam sensor in mine, just too much things to do, no time to replace.

When cables is short circuited, the power supply for low voltage sensors inside the ECU will be stopped and this could be the reason for car not starting.
