GL63 main and aux battery replacement Tips?
Hi - has anyone done their main and auxiliary battery replacement? Batteries generally have a 5 year life according to the dealer, so 2013+5=2018, so many GL63's are probably near the time to get a replacement.
OEM is about $600 (including labor). Bulk of that is battery cost which I'm not sure exactly what MSRP is as I'm seeing prices all over the board online.
I've found that autozone carries this battery that is supposedly a direct OEM fit. Anyone try this?
Main:

Aux:

I've read you have to cut the carpet, but I looked at mine and the carpet was already trimmed so not sure if it was replaced before or if the GL63 came like that. Maybe it was trimmed for service. Some have AUX and Main together, but the GL63 has the AUX in the trunk area.
Anyone has any good youtube videos or link to forum posts (I haven't found anything that hit on everything), let me know.
There looks to be nearly zero room to remove the battery (clearly it's possible) so doesn't look like a 5 minute job as on my other cars.
I welcome any feedback, tips or tricks!

Haven't done one on the X166 but looks to be the same as the X164. Move the seat all the way forward and up. Will give you enough room to access everything. The carpet is scored so you basically cut along the score lines.

I just had both of my batteries replaced by the dealer. The total with tax was $730. According to the invoice, the auxiliary battery is located under the spare tire.

Did you install it? I'm asking because I'm curious if you were able to re-install the vent hose on the aftermarket battery like the OEM one does. One of the videos mentions how important that is (for the main battery).
