GLA45 held up at customs
Anyone else in Canada waiting for their GLA45? Mine was supposed to be delivered Oct 26th but it has been delayed in customs in Halifax. The wait is killing me. My all black edition 1 is over 6000 kms away! (3728 miles)
I purchased my GLA45 AMG Edition 1 from my Lower Mainland B.C. dealer on October 5, 2014. Since then, I know that the Langley Mercedes dealership and Three Point Motors in Victoria also received one GLA45 AMG Edition 1 each. Thus far however, every GLA45 AMG Edition 1 to have arrived in B.C. has been black in colour, as far as I know. So, there have been a few Edition 1s to have arrived in B.C. already, hopefully you will get yours soon!
As far as I know, the differences are mostly on the exterior, with special grey, black and red stripes on the sides of the car, front and rear spoilers, and special 20 inch wheels that are black and red in colour. Also, there are some special Edition 1 items in the interior, for example the console transmission shifter has Edition 1 engraved on it. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything, if I am perhaps someone else can clarify.
I see that you are in the U.S., as far as I know the Edition 1 is not available there. In Canada, there will only be 50 of them produced.
Congratulations, how are you liking your new car? I love mine, it is so fun to drive, isn't it? So far I have only heard of black ones having arrived in B.C., curious as to if there are fewer Edition 1's produced in the other colours (silver, grey, white)

GLA45 Edition 1 update. Picked up my car last night. I'm impressed with everything except NO keyless Go!!! I almost refused delivery as I don't think I could live without that. After calming down I quickly got over it and fell in love with the car. Coming from a 2010 C63, the GLA interior blows my old car out of the water. So impressed. Will update with pictures soon, just way to busy with work right now. So far I have 54 km's on her. so far so good.

Do you have those awesome Recaros? If the GLA interior is anything like a CLA interior, I'm not that crazy about it compared to my C63. Now those Recaros are just drooling material.

I as well was lucky enough to get one allotted for Wpg Mb. It will be the only one unless someone brings one in from out of province.
I ordered it with the mountain grey paint and black leather the only two options I had.
Picked it up on October 30 only drove it for 5 days put on 1200kms and now have it stored for winter. It is going to be a long winter!!! Paid full MSRP and tried to get them to throw in some winter rims and tires but wouldn't budge. Can't wait till spring to finish break in period, because even just taking it easy I all ready know this will be the fastest little car I've ever been in.

For US regulations, the GLA250 is imported as an SUV and is allowed to have the tinted windows. Because the GLA45 is lower it is registered as a passenger car. Passenger cars in the US are not allowed to have tinted windows from the factory. Basically idiot laws that causes the AMG to not have tinted windows.
