Thump at full steering lock

Hi all - I just took delivery of a CPO 2016 GLA45 this weekend. One thing I noticed immediately was a thumping noise coming from the front end when turning at full steering lock - first noticed when making a u-turn on a wide street. Before I roll it to the local dealer, anyone else seen/heard this behavior?

if it sounds like your front wheels are briefly studdering across dry pavement, that is "normal" for the MB 4-matic.

At first that's what I thought, but it's a more substantial "thunk" that I can feel through the drivetrain - like something may be binding. I also have a full-sized GL that has been smooth at full lock, though 1) that's a RWD-biased drivetrain and 2) I suppose the short wheelbase of the GLA could make it more susceptible.

Thanks for the input - I'll have the local dealer check it out and report back.

Closing this out - dealer determination same as 1_PGH_1's: "summer tires in freezing weather being very stiff = stuttering across the pavement". I've since gotten proper snow tires and it seems better
