Questions Buying a 2015 GLA45 Edition 1

Hey guys,

I was at my local dealer yesterday looking for a used CLA45 or GLA45. Long story short we ended up finding a GLA45 Edition 1 tucked away in storage. It's a 2015 with 15k on it priced at $56,000 CAD. I believe sticker price when new was $68,000.

My questions are;

Is that fair pricing on the vehicle? This is my first time purchasing from Mercedes directly, what's their margin on certified pre-owned vehicles? I asked what the cash price would be and was told the only thing they could do was knock off $1500 and waive the first 3 payments. Is this similar to what you guys have experienced?

I know most of the differences between the 2015 and 2016s, but would a tune on both make them similar 0-60 times? Or does the new transmission play into effect a lot for the 0-60 sprint?

Are there aftermarket LSDs available?

I could afford a new vehicle but it seems like the dealerships in my area (all of which are owned by MB, not franchised) are charging dealership premiums on the vehicles. There's no GLA45 in my area for under $74,000. Similar builds using the website are around $65,000.

Would you guys wait for a 2016+ used pop up? There's none for sale in my area currently, I'm not in a rush to buy.

Thanks

I just bought a leftover 2016 with a MSRP of $69k for $60K shipped to me from Reno to San Diego where I live. Don't know if you can find a good deal on a left 2016. Price still seems high to me though.

I agree with wheelz, the price should be more in the early 50's in my opinion.

Congrats on the new car! BTW, the dealership still has the car listed on their website. (Unless they had 2 identical ones.)

Thanks. For whatever reason they haven't taken it down yet. Should get it this week.
