No rear armrest

We've just bought a 2018 GLA45 from a Mercedes dealer with 1000 miles, it's a very high spec only a few minor things it doesn't have, but I'm not sure exactly what has been ticked and hasn't.

It doesn't have a rear armrest, which I find strange. Was there an option or package to tick for it?

Yes it does. With cup holders to boot. Mine is a 2018 as well. Unless you meant something else don't know how you could miss it.

hi, this is what our looks like, can see where the armrest would be, but its all one piece no armrest there. must have been part of a package i'm guessing.

Yeah I see that now. I do have the Black "Red Cut" leather option. But I don't think that's it. Might be for some reason different markets. I now see you are UK and I'm US. I pulled up the PDF 2018 brochure I have and this is what I found. Might come down to the Americans love their cup holders thing - lol. Let me know what you find out on your end.

thanks for the detailed reply :)

before we picked the car up i saw photos of the rear arm rest online, but they must have all been US spec cars, as i have a UK brochure and can't see it listed anywhere, and it's not even on the non AMG models! seems such a strange thing to omit to me

Strange indeed. Wonder what the reason is/was and who made that decision.

Surely it was based on research and what the majority in each market desires. For instance, wagons (estates) are sold in every other market but the US market. Same for shooting brakes. Auto enthusiasts love wagons, but non-car people in the US hate wagons and it affects us all that live here.
