2016 GLA45

I'm new here. In the process of ordering a 2016 GLA45. My dealership has 2 incoming and they told me if I order before the end of july I can modify there incoming cars. They gave me a breakdown of packages that are available. I'll attach them and a picture I found when navigating the German GLA website. Clearly shows 8" screen and says so in the description. Also states info about having 380hp and available adjustable ride control. Helps having a fiancee that understands basic german.

You can change the spec up to around the 2nd or 3rd week of August. The first build slot is in September, but it's nice they're pressuring you to sign off on one now.

I have the MY15 guide in front of me, and here are the differences:

Standard Equipment:
523 vs 522 - upgraded to NGT5 Audio 20. (Bigger Screen)
893 - Keyless START is standard.
B59 - Dynamic Select is standard.

MPP Premium Package:
527 vs 531 - upgraded to NTG5 COMAND Online Nav w/MB Apps (bigger screen)

MP2 Premium Plus Package:
Deletes 518 Media Interface - NTG5 doesn't need Media Interface cables. You use standard USB to lightning cables.

AXP AMG Exclusive Package:
880 Deleted. This has got to be a typo on the MY2016 guide. Even though it's a useless option (IR Remote open/close using key on drivers door)

ADP AMG Driver's Package:
492 vs 459 - Updated to the 2 stage adjustable dampers. Looks like the stiffer suspension is gone.
471 - Adds Limited Slip Differential
Deletes 758 - Package doesn't include 20" Wheels

Optional Equipment:
758 20" silver wheels moved here, along with Matte black wheels.

Surprised that the aero package (B26) isn't available at all for MY2016.

Too bad pricing won't be announced till Oct/Nov right before deliveries start. Hard to say how much more they're adding with the US exchange rate and some of these changes.

Also, the gearbox code is the same (429), so it doesn't look like it'll be getting the updated gearbox. No clue on power upgrades either.

Moers already said the GLA/CLAs get the upgrades, all of them. This doesn't mean they will but he said they will. There are as of today no order slots available anywhere in the world and it is not possible to make an order in the US and no official word on when when you might be able to order. There are also no order slots available in Canada and it is not possible to make an order there with no word on when those might be available. There are not even any order slots available in Germany but there at least you can actually configure a car and put a real order in so that when slots are available it will be queued for build.

Pricing is always available before a real order can be made and of course long before deliveries start. Right now what you have is dealers taking money because they might as well earn interest on it instead of the person that gave them the money.

Not in Canada. The MSRP and option prices are never released until the first cars arrive, +/- 1 week. This happens every single year, every model year change. If you're building your own spec order, you're ordering the car with no idea what it's going to cost until it arrives.

My bad, I was on my phone typing that one. My second paragraph I had moved to talking about the OPs order and dealers and he is in the US. Right now what you have is some dealers taking deposits but with no way to actually order. Fine if everyone understands what is happening but that isn't always the case. I'm trying to order a car myself and the dealer wont take a deposit until they have finalized pricing and the DOG.

I didn't however know that about Canada and I have always assumed that outside of options and pricing your process was very similar to that in the US. If you don't like the price when it drops can you reject the car without penalty?
