GLB 250 - Draft from driver's door
Hello everyone,
First post and new to this forum and page. Just took delivery of the '23 GLB 250 and experiencing a few major issues. First major issue is the driver's door seems to have cold air seep into the vehicle. I started noticing it last week as the temperature dropped (30s and 40s) in New York. The heat works fine and I have it set to blowing air from both the front and bottom vents. However my entire left hip and leg feels cold when driving. Otherwise the rest of my body is warm and comfortable and the interior temperature does warm up to the set heat temperature. The driver's door closes poorly, requiring to use more force to close it each time I exit the vehicle. This is a known issue I read here and I'm wondering if this is causing the cold air to seep through the bottom part of the door. I did have the dealer look at the door not closing well, prior to experiencing the draft from the door, and they told it's operating normal and I need to apply more pressure to close the vehicle door. I would appreciate any insight to help me get this issue fixed. I have the car for less than one month. Thank you, Shawn |
The door needs force to close is a typical issue with this model. In my opinion it gets more noticeable when only one door is open, and air has no room to escape. My driver door got better through use.
If you do not see any door misalignment issues or weather seals out of place, then you best bet is to go to dealer and have them replace door seals. If the door is misaligned than that could be a culprit for your door closing and weather seal issues. |

Holy cow I thought it was just me!! Same issue with my GLB. Drafty on the driver's side and lots of wind noise when highway driving. Almost as if the window is open. I do have to remind myself to really firmly close the driver's side door. I'm really regretting buying this car. I've only had it for three weeks.

After dropping off my car for now a 3rd time to address the draft issue from the driver's door along with a few other problems I'm experiencing, I was informed today they found no problem with draft air coming from the driver's door. It makes driving the car difficult especially when it is cold. Any suggestions on how I should address this?

Were you able to resolve this issue? Please keep me posted b/c I still experience cold air from the driver seat, heating my left torso and leg.
