Congrats, looks awesome, especially the interior. Weird question, but did they drill holes in the front bumper for the license plate holder? My State does not require front plates, so wondering how MB handles things? Thanks and enjoy yours once it gets home.

They do. All ED cars get bumpers drilled - it's a German requirement

I was given a date of 4/4 when I ordered it mid to late January with the hope it would be here late March. It's all gone quiet since then.

Once you know the ship expect:
- 1 week at the port of arrival before it gets put on a truck and delivered to the dealer
- roughly a day for dealer prep, maybe 2
(Note: There can be delays due to damage on the voyage or customs)

Picked up my custom to order GLC43 today from Mercedes of Rocklin - it was worth the 3 month wait.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
- it feels so solid, as if someone has glued the car down to the road
- love the sound, even in eco it sounds like the car is powered by an angry swarm of bees. If you want a quiet, luxury cruiser don't get the GLC43, that M276 engine sound is omni-present. It's a drivers dream to listen to.
- I had a loaner 2017 C300 which in Eco was so underpowered - anaemic in Eco mode, flimsy and airy in comfort, but even in eco the GLC43 can't hide all that torque and it's responsive
- the Burmeister is DEFINITELY worth the upgrade. The stock sound system in the C300 is just passable, but the Burmeister is amazing. Fuller base, more vivid sound, and the surround (although as a former Dolby employee I must say 99.9% of music is stereo and upmixing music to 5.1 is artificial) is amazing
- I love my pano roof despite what folks say about weight (I'm not racing it)
- the advanced parking is mainly worthwhile for the great camera and collision detection system; the autonomous parking is a nice novelty.
- I love the 21 inch wheels, I have the titanium 5 spokes. Folks on this forum had made it sound like the 21 inches would make your bones shake going over every bump. NOT SO, on the summer Continentals the car drives over California potholes without an issue. I would say it's as comfortable (easily) as a C300, even if the suspension feels stiffer
- I got it right (for my taste) getting black paint. I am also so not into the night package. Why pay extra for plastic wing mirrors when it's cheaper to have them painted. The chrome on the front lip and exhaust looks really good.

I want to personally thank James Reemits of Rocklin Mercedes
- for giving me a killer deal. Way better than dealers in SF, Marin or the peninsular.
- the %discount applied to the base MSRP and the options MSRP
- the numbers on the paperwork matched exactly what I was expecting
- he was incredibly responsive, returning calls and emails promptly including on his days off, explaining what ship it was on, exact ETA...
- he provided a really nice loaner C300 for a couple of weeks which was really useful.
After switching from the C300 loaner to a GLC43 it's hard to believe the C300 and GLC43 are in the same 'family'. Yes there are common controls, but the GLC is like the red-headed stepchild - it's an AMG but it's not a track car. It's a Mercedes but feels INCREDIBLY DIFFERENT to drive than a C300 (way better).

Rihallix - you're right, it looks great in black. I went ahead and ordered Selenite after almost settling on white. Now you're making me regret it!
FWIW, you may also want to post in the 2017 pic thread, assuming yours is a 2017. When you posted in another thread to check yours out in the pic thread, I went to the 2017's and wondered where you were.
