Maintaining warm temperature while stopped (also known as REST)
I am still waiting for delivery of my GLC, so I have been reading the Owner Manual to soothe the new-car-itis. (its very itchy -- don't scratch!
)I don't see any specific documentation in the US GLC Owner's Manual pointing out this feature and it was always documented in my SL Owner's Manual. However, on page 142 of the US Owner's Manual, there is a reference to the MENU or MENU/REST button.
If you have a US-based GLC, can you confirm if it has this feature? You have to run the engine long enough to get it up to normal operating temperature, shut off the engine, and then push that button within 30 seconds of shut off. If you hear a fan running, then I speculate we have it on our GLCs.
Thanks!

I'm not sure if this helps at all. Attached is the MY16 Canada dealer's ordering guide for GLC 300 4M. Residual Engine Heat Useage (Somehow abbrev. REST) comes standard.
You'll see there's a line that says "Residual Engine Heat Utilization".
