IMPORTANT - New GLC 300 Owners
My sales guy did not know until I told him after reading the manual.
Personally, I will not exceed 60 mph for the first 500 miles and will drive in E mode for the first 1000 miles. Any other suggestions are welcome.
Reason - GLC has high compression engine (Ration 10:1)and you want the piston rings to have better mating with the liner surface.
On your "E" setting - that's "ideally" and by specific definition not "most important".
Frankly - after 30yrs experience with MB's - and solid experience with new gen - personally I recommend drive-it-and-have-fun - just avoid max RPM - and you will be fine.
"mating rings with liner surface" - that's kindof a chuckle - the hardness of both now-a-days would be like rubbing two diamonds together to make them smoother..

I guess I trust what the guys at the factory in Germany tell me
