2020 GLC 43
HI all.
Few days away from taking the plunge on a GLC 43...opinions on must-haves beyond these on my list...(and likely going with 20s):
Parking Assist (most seem to have)
Multimedia (same)
Night Package
Bermester
Performance Exhaust
AMG Steering Wheel
Panorama Rroof
12.3" Digital Cluster
?
Thank you.

I have found the Driver Assistance Package most useful, for convenience and safety. Also the HUD is an excellent option. Parking assist not so useful for me. Too many places it doesn't work, like next to curbs or between parked cars. I have the 2020 version and maybe it's more constrained than the 2021 version.

Thank you for your response, good to know.
The HUD is nice but is pricey and not on that many cars that I've looked at, unfortunately. Aren't a lot of 2020 43s in the northwest either...am looking at California too.

That is correct. I have not been very satisfied with it. According to the manual the Active Parking Assist doesn't work under certain conditions according to page 233-234 of the manual:
"Active Parking Assist will not assist you with parking spaces at right angles to the direction of travel in the following situations: If two parking spaces are located immediately next to each other. If the parking space is immediately next to a low obstacle such as a curb."
"Active Parking Assist will not assist you with parking spaces parallel or at right angles to the direction of travel in the following situations: If the parking space is on a curb. If the parking space is bordered by an obstacle, e.g. a tree, a post or a trailer."

Well, I've watched a couple of utube videos and found that I've been using Active Parking Assist wrong. Didn't know it only works when both adjacent parking spaces are filed. Will have to give it another try. That said, with 360° view, it's pretty easy to park in manual mode. I would normally avoid really difficult parking situations to avoid getting dings from adjacent cars coming and going.
