GLC43 w/red seat belts....regrets?
I have my 18 in queue right now, but am teetering on adding the adaptive lighting package (for the ambient lighting) and deleting the red belts. I have the leather with red stitching and feel like that might be enough of an accent to fill my desire to break things up. However, I did like the red seat belts when I first saw them.
Are there any of you that have gotten the red belts and now regret the decision?
I'm starting to think seat belts are that item that should not be drawing attention to themselves in the cabin.

I had the same battle in my head... I went with the black belts in the end. I currently have an A250 with red belts and red top stitching which i think looks great in the little hatch. In the A250, you get red rings around the airvents and red calipers, so it all tied in nicely.
The '43 is quite the opposite though, it has grey / silverish calipers, aluminium looking airvents. So i thought the black belts and white / crystal grey top stitching was a better match.. The led lighting provides enough contrast. Its all personal choice in the end..

It's all come down to personal preference.
I have red seat belts along with red stitching black leather seats.
I like it and don't regret it at all.

Ordered mine in black with night package. Interior is also black with red stitching so I went with red seat belts. Mine is supposed to go to production as early as Monday so no more changes for me. If you got a MY18, you prob have 2 months to make up your mind.

As far as the red belts go, I think I might be hitting a snag there. I have a call planned with my rep tomorrow, but it seems that black with white stitching is a no go with black belts. I started to think that was the direction I would go, but who knows now.

Well, red seat belts are out. The wife has come out against them pretty strongly. The bad part is i'd like to pair the normal black leather with the black belts, but for 2018 this seems to be a no-go.

Black on black interior works great
My wife also vetoed the red seats belts and stitching. So we had to go with a custom to order for a MY'17.
Here's how it turned out, the car was built mid January and delivered a week ago to Northern California:
The black leather comes with light gray / white stitching. It looks good.
We chose the black ash - which looks amazing and does not smear or stain at all.
The black ash works really well in the doors, especially with the Burmeister.
Rear seats with black leather
Drivers seat from a different angle.

Yeah, that looks sharp. After you made mention of it I thought that would be the combo I would not tire of. Unfortunately, as of now it's not an option for me.

I have to give a big thanks to rihalilix for pushing the issue. Called my guy back and got it sorted. Seems to be a flaw in the system that if you select black seat belts with the standard black leather it won't take, but if you don't select either black or red then it goes through and should be black belts!! I also got a build date of second decade in June. Pretty stoked!!

Loving the black on black. Be sure to play some AC/DC when you get it.

Damnit. From the looks of the 2018 DOG, you can get the designo black interior (971, nappa on the '18 DOG) now with black seatbelts. For 2017, the seatbelts were silver, as they are in my car. I even spoke with the person at the dealership that handles order relations with the factory to see if the silver belts could be replaced with black, and the answer was no-go. My build date was Feb 9. I hate when they pull stuff like this; tell you something can't be changed in an order and the very next MY, it changes. Not the first time this has happened with me and MB.

I have red belts and to be honest, I don't even notice them. When I picked up the car the 1st time she saw it she said oh red belts (in a good way), so life is good. Just wish my commute was longer

I hear you on the commute. It's only 7 miles of straight 3-lane highway for me. However, I have a back way that is way more twisty and even has a corkscrew section, but traffic doesn't allow any spirited driving.

Picking up my GLC43 today. Bought black with red stitching but immediately deleted the red belts...thought it would be way too much.

Just took delivery of a GLC43 AMG and returned a GLC 250D... As my wife sits in the car she began to ***** about the seatbelts... never really tought about changing color... but I wish I did....
