Hmmm, never heard of this. Like MB-Tex? Seems like it would be a cheap option though, so if the design guide is correct it looks like it is now possible to get the designo leather interior without having to get P2 or P3? Only P22 is listed as required.

I'm ordering my 2018 GLC Coupe tomorrow for European Delivery. I'm planning on just doing CarPlay and not Comand. What will I miss out on if I do this? Where can I see a side-by-side comparison of features?

Command is the MB Navigation and is part of the Multi-media package. I am not sure where you can see a side by side comparison, but you can check the DOG to see what comes with the Multi-media package or you can go to the MBUSA.com site. When building a car you can drill down into a list and description of the different packages.

Note, with EDP there is a few week period after placing your order were you can change the config, assuming the dealer is willing to make the change in the system.

Congrats on doing an EDP, you will enjoy driving you new car in Europe.

From what I have seen, the Garmin looks very similar to a typical handheld Garmin unit. There is also a thread here that has some owner feedback on what each system does, if you search this thread for Garmin you should be able to find it

Good news is, I'm taking your advice. I'm for sure going with the Drive Assistance Package.

Now, I'm just trying to figure out if I'm getting a good deal or not. I'm new to leasing, so I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. In this case, it makes a lot of sense to me. I'm trying to figure out if I want to put money down to bring the monthly payment down or if I put hardly anything down and live with higher payment and use my on-hand cash differently. I think I just answered my own question...lol.

This is not a correct statement. I have both the multi-media package and the Driver Assistance Package on my MY17 GLC. In fact for MY17 they were both part of the P3 Premium Package.

I think you misunderstand what this means. All it says is Smartphone Integration is not available with the MultimediaPackage. And if you order the Driver Assistance Package you must order the Multimedia Package.

It does not say the Multi-media package disallows the Driver Assist Package, as your post stated. In fact it says the opposite.

I hope you're right Ted. But I've not been able to get Mercedes configurator with my S.A. to accept both Drivers Assistance Package and Smartphone Integration. I want the Drivers Assistance Package. That is only available if I order the Multimedia Package. But Smartphone Integration is not available with the Multimedia Package and that has prevented me from ordering Smartphone Integration.

You are correct kauboy. Smartphone and Mutimedia cannot be combined. If you want the Driver Assistance Pkg, you can't get Smartphone Integration.

I see my original mistake. Thanks. Should have said Driver Assistance Package Requires Multimedia Package. In any case with the MY 18 GLC Coupe and I think the 18 GLC SUV, you cannot get both Drivers Assistance Package and Smartphone Integration. Hope I got that right.

I think you're smart getting the Driver Assistance Pkg over Smartphone pkg.

I've never leased, but from everything I've read, lowering your payment with a substantial down payment is not usually the best deal. I know it sounds logical, like borrowing less money on a car, but do your due diligence and be sure it makes sense for you in your state. In Virginia, when you lease a car, you owe the entire sales tax on it during the lease. Then, if you love the car and want to buy it at the end of the lease, you have to PAY SALES TAX AGAIN, based on the purchase price of the car. That's because, guess what, you didn't own the car and it's just like you are buying any car off the lot. NOT a good deal in Virginia!
