Just noticed this AM that our rear wiper blade is missing (likely a victim of a recent car wash). Has anyone found a replacement blade that works on the 2017 GLC300? I would hate to pay a dealer $50 for a $15 item! Thanks, John

Does the dealer really charge $50 for that blade? Used to being overcharged of MB parts but this is ridiculous.

Ok, Ok...i suppose I left myself wide open. But of course, that is not the point. A separate trip to the dealer vs buying on Amazon is really my main reason for wanting this. And then, not spending 2-3x for something that I can snap on in, oh, 15 seconds is another.

As for the other links to parts suppliers, I've not been able to find one. I guess I will just get it from the dealer.

jdag, Have you checked the local auto parts stores?

I asked because the GLC has been in production long enough that aftermarket manufactures should by now be producing such components as wiper blades.

List price for the rear wiper blade is $17.00. It's made with a special material that is designed to last for at least one year and still work as new, even when dirty. Dealers will usually put it on when you stop by. If a trip to the dealer is out of the question, ask them to send it. MB has videos on their website that show how to put it on.

special material to last one year? most cars i own i only change them when they seem to now work well anymore, which is usually more than a year. i cant say as i have ever seen wipers less than a year old not work pretty much as brand now.

That's true. The blades on my personal car easily last 2+ years plus per set. I assume their specs are based on severe duty, i.e. driven daily, left outside. YMMV if you park in a garage.

Our work cars typically need new wiper blades annually if not sooner. But they're driven a lot and sit outside 24/7.
