Do you guys think that the app will be available in Canada anytime soon? And when/if the app get release in Canada, do you think that all 2018 will be compatible? I just want the remote start function

Probably not for 2018. There are no SOS/Wrench/Info buttons on Canadian 2018 GLCs, or any Canadian Mercedes for that matter, as far as I am aware.

Canada is not cold enough to get a remote starter like US.

I have an E63S on order that should arrive in January 2018. I had asked my dealer about the Mercedes Me app after seeing these threads on the MB forums. Initially they did not know anything but they did receive an internal newsletter(attached) that alludes to the Mercedes ME Connect remote services(w/remote start) coming soon. This was back in June 2017 and no mention of it since. I really really want remote start in the winter! It's bad enough you can't get a heated steering wheel but every other panel in the drivers zone is heated. WTF!

I checked with Mercedes Benz Canada on Twitter and got below info on two topic. I hope that helps us on our expectations

1. Hi Vishal. It has been confirmed for me that Car Play is not available on the 2018 GLC 300 4MATIC and that no software upgrade would make it available in the future. My apologies if this wasn't he news you were hoping for.

2. Hi Vishal! Unfortunately the Canadian GLC is not compatible with either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and there are no planned retrofits for it.
3. Hi Vishal! The Mercedes me app will be available in Canada as of mid-to-late 2018.

Meanwhile all Canadians u can have another app from US App Store as Mercedes Benz Companion . I think its almost the same as Mercedes Benz Me app and working perfectly at this moment .
