GLC 43 ride on 20” all seasons?
I just test drove a GLC 43 on 20” wheels with what I believe were all season tires. Even on comfort mode, the ride felt significantly more harsh/firm than my BMW m235i—not good enough for a long road trip. Love the dynamics of the GLC 43, but wondering if others have views on the stock ride comfort and whether good summer tires would improve it much. Many thanks.

I have a 2018 GLC43 with 20" Good Year all season runflat tires. It is my opinion that the ride is great if you are in eco or comfort mode. If you want performance and choose to drive in sport or sport+ your ride will be dramatically different, however the handling will be much better. My previous vehicle was a 2012 VW Touareg TDI with 18" tires bias ply tires & the ride was comparable to my current car in eco or comfort mode.

I call BS.
I rented a 430i for 2 weeks while my C450 was in the shop for body work after being rear ended. I also own a GLC43 with the 20'' wheels and the Goodyear RF tires.
I drove the 430i and the GLC43 back to back numerous times during this period and the air suspension in the GLC is definitely less firm. Now my c450, that is a firm and somewhat harsh ride but the GLC43 is not overly firm at all even in S mode.
My experience was with a 430i, however, there is no way that 430i is going to be tighter than the 235.
I liked the suspension of the 430i but it was definitely firmer than my GLC43.
