GLC43 AMG
Check what I picked today!

Driving on I 5 today. A metal object came flying hitting the car. dashcam video link too (couple posts down). I think it could have been a lot worse.

That must be scary.

OUCH. Looks like the crank for the trailer jack stands off of a big rig trailer. Glad it didnt hit your windshield!

Yep. I’m glad it did not hit the engine or the windshield. Will take for an estimate Saturday.

That was real close.... Let us know how much the repairs will be. Most seem to be cosmetic.

Huh! ....didn't know the '43 came with a crank handle. Interesting on 21st century vehicle!

Ok jokes aside. Glad you are safe. As stated before ..it could have been worse.
Hope the repair bill is not too steep. Did it damage anything behind the body-work??

that's is the estimate BUT two body shops (one MB certified, pic below) and one from insurance company could not find any parts database for the 2017 glc 43, so they will have to contact dealer for parts numbers! kind of weird. so I was given a 2015? prices (I guess GLK?)
I also attached a my dashcam video clip, sorry for bad quality as I had to reduce file size to make it OK to post. the original is High quality.

Put down to karma ...don't buy a lottery ticket this week!!!
