Red R on GLC 300 istrument panel

Red R on GLC 300 istrument panel
I've looked all through the owner's manual and can't seem to find what the red R is for on the instrument panel in
the upper left corner. Could someone please help me?

This is a guess but... If you have a high performance AMG model and use the Dynamic Select switch to choose Race mode, a red R will appear in the upper left corner of the center display. It should show the default position as C for Comfort, and will change to S for Sport, I for Individual, E for Economy, etc.
My regular GLC300 has E, C, S, and S+. I believe earlier Mercedes products had Auto, Dynamic, Race, and Individual modes. YMMV
