Any aftermarket mudflaps out there? Mercedes says no OEM for this vehicle!?
Hello Everyone,
I just purchased a new 2018 GLC300 4Matic with the AMG line options (20" wheels, upgraded interior, etc.). This is not the actual GLC AMG. I am having the hardest time finding splash guards (mud flaps) for this vehicle. I live in Pennsylvania so the rock salt with eat away at the sides of this SUV. Can someone please guide me to the correct website or aftermarket dealer? Mercedes Benz Dealer already told me there are no OEM guards for this vehicle. I know someone out there has to make it. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. |
I went with these from Ebay. I haven't had a chance to put them on my 43 yet because it's been cold as **** here in Pa, but just mocking them up, and lining up the OE holes, they appear to fit like a glove and are very durable. The back ones also say "GLC" on them, and they came with all fasteners. I'll update once I put them on, which I'm hoping is tomorrow or this week sometime. Where in Pa are you?

Thanks! |
I have dealer installed mud flaps on my 2018 GLC. However, I have the 18 inch 5 spoke wheels. I don’t know if that makes a difference. By the way I live in Allentown, PA. |
Got the flaps on this afternoon. Very happy with the fitment and the installation was a breeze and only took maybe 30 minutes total. All factory holes were used, except the very top hole where it goes up the wheel well. The top hole needs drilled and the hardware clip needs put on then tighten it down. I took pictures so I'll see if I can upload them.

Im going to see if I can find someone who will let me return them if they do not fit. I was was just in Allentown last Wednesday! Nice city |

Manager guy at Sun in Mechanicsburg said they do not make them for the SUV yet. I think he just didn't want to throw them in, so I cannot verify if MB makes them or not. I wasn't going to pay dealership prices anyways, so I didn't inquire. To my knowledge, the only difference between models is whether you have running boards or not, so they should be the same. Not sure about Allentown. I do a show up there once every 6 weeks or so, and on my last trip, I came out of my hotel at 5am Sunday morning, and some girl in her 20's apparently OD'ed while sitting against my car. Really freaked me out, so I'm in no hurry to go back. Sad! |

Well, I’m just going to order the ones on eBay you sent me. Give it a shot because I’m tried or shopping around. lol. It’s getting to be too much. |

what was the name of your seller? And how long did it take to receive them from China. Some sellers put a generic due date that spans a month and half.

Mudflaps were just delivered by the Post Office so it took 2 weeks from the date I placed the order to receive them. They come in a heavy duty bubble-wrap shipping bag that arrived in good shape. The quality looks good and the rear flaps have GLC on them in raised letters. There are 12 fasteners and 4 slip-on captive nuts. There are no instructions included. Today`s weather here is bitter cold with a biting wind so I won`t be putting these on today as no good would come of it.

Thanks Linus. Just ordered a set from the same seller.

Well there is good news and bad news for me concerning these $55 mudflaps from china. The fronts fit perfectly and were fairly easy to install and they look good on the car. But the rear flaps do not fit at all, they are different from what the vendor shows in his listing pictures that appears to have the correct body profile for my car. Here is the picture the vendor shows for the rear flap and it has the correct shape with the needed body contours for the back of my 2019.
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...0e7db9b1d9.jpg But here is what he ships that is way off., totally different profile and contours https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...374fc0c90a.jpg It doesn`t even come close to fitting and having bought from china before I know shipping them back is expensive and so I will probably wind up taking it up with ebay as the listing picture and the item shipped are different. Worst case scenario I paid $55 for a pair of front mudflaps. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...33503f3853.jpg . |

You can see pictures of them installed on my 2018 GLC 43 SUV, and that's exactly how they fit. The ones you show in the pictures, look exactly like mine did before I put them on. Pictures on Ebay look correct too. You sure your not mixing them up or something? "GLC" should be on the back flaps.

The front mudflaps went on fairly easily, you carefully remove the factory plastic push-pin fasteners and you drill one small hole for the top where the slip-on captive nut goes.https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...88b70f4f3c.jpg
