Please let me know if anyone installed an after market head rest screens and DVD player. roughly how much does it cost? My 8 year wants it.

Frankly - consider getting a portable DVD w/car mount - check Amozon ... this link shows the mounts and how it works out......

Faced with same problem, I used an iPad support. Why bother with DVD's when you have Netflix, or a similar service?

George - Totally agree with you! When I was a kid I studied in a boarding school and it was difficult to ask my Dad for a Jelly bottle. This generation is different and we just gotto make them happy.

@George, @kirangvs, this may or may not be true, but is irrelevant in this discussion. It is not a mater of spoiling the kids. It is in my best interest that I provide some distraction for them on long journeys. How are you going to drive safely with children nagging and fussing for hours and hours, especially when you still have >1000 km ahead?
I am pretty sure you didn't ask your parents for a DVD-player when you were kids. If you wanted one, you'd have to build it yourself <LOL>.
