Delayed (Several seconds ) throttle response

I'm an owner of GLC350 with 30k on the car, I've noticed that at times when I press a gas pedal, there is absolutely no reaction from the car at all. I'm not talking about a turbo lag or slow acceleration. I'm talking about a complete absence of any response from the pedal. An especially dangerous situation when you come to a rolling stop trying to make either left or right turns, you are dead in the water at times for several seconds where the car is just rolling and only after 3 - 4 seconds it actually responds to the accelerator. The most annoying thing is that it doesn't happen every time. Any advice?

Ive have ( or had ) exactly the same problem with my GLC43.. Just recently had it in for them to look at this problem. With it being so intermittent, its not going to be easy to find. They have done a transmission software update and some other engine software update as a starting point for now.. Its early days, but so far so good.. Hard to say if its actually fixed the problem, it could take a month or two between faulting, it was very intermittent.... Did you ever have the fault occur travelling in a straight line? Or only when turning? I'm pretty sure i had it in a straight line, but more often it was when i was turning..

I have the same issue. 2018 GLC 300. Usually for me in the morning when just starting out and I come to rolling stop while turning left. No response for a few seconds. Happened a few times turning right while entering a busy road with oncoming cars. Thought I could just accelerate onto the road but had nothing. Have not brought it in for that yet. Figured it was just the trans searching for gear since I didn't stop fully. I don't think it happens if come to a full stop or almost full. Usually when coming to a rolling stop with some acceleration first.

This happens either when you roll at the stops, and several time has happened on the freeway when I needed to change lanes and had 0 response from the car/engine to the pedal

Same here, its always occurred while the car is still rolling... I'll keep you posted if the software update has fixed mine.. so far so good, still early days..

Car spent 4 days at the dealership, they are not able to replicate the problem, no error codes in the computer. I guess I'm out of luck...

Don't know if this applies to the new glc models but definitely worth a try.

Happens once in a while with my E300 - feels like transmission will not re-engage and then engages. I hate it a lot, but I feel like it is a characteristic of the transmission, which tries to "coast" to save fuel. If I am going to make a left in front of traffic or do something that requires immediate response, I try and roll forward a bit to be sure the transmission engages...

I'd get them to do a software update on the transmission if there's one available.. It would be a good starting point.. Mine hasnt given me any trouble since the transmission software update...

I have done the reset procedure twice and it has helped the overall shifting of the car. I did not initially do it for the delay issue but it has helped with that as it turns out. I did it because in overall driving the trans had lost the smoothness I was used to and had read about the reset. Worth a shot. After the last step of turning off the car and releasing the pedal, make sure not to touch anything for about 2 min.

I got my car as as demo as finance manager at the dealership was driving it for 3-4 months. I'll use the link too to reset the transmission data and for it to learn my driving habit. I have no complain on the transmission side but hey, maybe this will make things even better :D
