Mine was built the last 10 days of August in Bremen and I picked it up from the dealer on Sept. 20. When ordering, see if they have cars in line to be built for the dealers allotment, which can be changed. Quicker that way.

It took about two months from order, to delivery at local dealer. CAVEAT: This is true for cars coming from Bremen, timing may be different if production is in India, or somewhere else in the world.

Yes, it is faster if one can find closely matching/acceptable configuration... Tried that faster route, but could not find matching color and must have options that we wanted.

2019 GLC 300 - Coupe
My 19' Coupe had a total 6 month lead time from order placement to delivery date. Ordered in Early March 2018 - picked up Early September 2018.
However - a few circumstances added to the delay on mine:
- Car was on hold for a month due to Canadian Government hold for regulations clearance on the new model year - Delayed
- Original order was a MY18 - but as the build was at the cusp of the switch over - MB refused to add Night Package on the 18 and said if i wanted it - had to go with a 19 - Delayed.
But I was handsomely compensated by my dealer for the delays. (nothing on the price - but an AMAZING perk)

I was gifted 2 all-expenses paid spots for the AMG Winter Driving Academy in Gimli, Manitoba by my Sales Rep. (roughly $9K CAD value - **I just had to pay for the cheap domestic flight)
It was the first time MB had ever done the weekend for free - only 30 people were invited - and I was given 2 spots - for me and the now EX gf.
An absolutely amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone who loves cars and wants to try out drifting on a frozen lake.

Our 2020 Coupe was built on August 20 and we took delivery on September 20. I thought it was freaky fast, my sales manager had said we would probably get it late fall...

Almost identical to mine. It was built the last 10 days of August and I took delivery on September 20th. Would have been longer, but they had a couple in the pipeline for their allotment, scheduled for assembly in the "3d decade" of the month. Fortunately, one of those was eligible for configuration changes and they built it according to my order, instead of the original configuration. If it gets too close to the build date, they can't change it.
