2020 GLC 300Coupe engine oil level

Hey all,
So my new GLC 300 4Matic with 7000km/4300miles just had the engine oil level warning came up.

one taken during driving with some assistant from a friend and the second one when stopped.
Took to the dealer and the service manager told me it is normal during the couple thousand kilometers.
So far mostly city driving with a little highway and I don't even break 3500rpm.
Anyone with similar experience?

no way oil will decrease as such in such a low mileage!!! document this with dealer and push them as it might be dangerous.

I agree with wesram, document and watch oil levels closely. My new 2020 GLC 300 4matic used one quart in 2,000 miles, had dealer check sensor (no dipstick) they added a quart and told me it’s not uncommon to use some oil during break in 😖. Watched the oil level closely and at 3,000 miles it was a ½ quart low and at 4,000 miles the engine was toast. Piston wrist pin retainer clips had come off and gouged the cylinder walls. Replaced engine and it was all downhill from there. Ended up with a Mfg buyback. Hopefully an isolated incident as I bought another GLC 300. Best wishes.....

Wow - huge eye opener. Thanks for posting this - our GLC's were both built 08/20. No problems with my oil levels so far but still below 500 miles.

Here is my oil level In my 2020 GLC at 4451 miles. Slightly down from the max level where it started brand new. I sure hope this isn’t a design defect in these new M264 engines.
