Dechrome Then Debadged?

I have a '20 black GLC. I've had most of all the chrome painted black. The front star I had faintly tinted to reduce the brightness of the chrome (to not totally black it out to make the grill look like a black hole) and help give it a little depth. I plasti dipped my rear badges (GLC300 and 4Matic) and Star in smoke. It turned out nice, but doesn't really go with the overall black-ness of the car. So, I'm now thinking about removing the back badges and either buying a gloss black star or having it, too, faintly tinted to match the front star. Or just getting all gloss black badges for the back. So many different options..

Does anyone have any photos of debadged back with tinted or gloss black star? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts/opinions on how it would look or see some examples.

Here's some photos of my current setup.

I successfully removed the old plasti-dip from the rear badges and star. Surprisingly it came off relatively easy once I was able to break the initial barrier down to the chrome. It looks brand new again. I removed the lettering and now all that remains in the adhesive residue left behind. I will work on getting that cleaned up later today. I'm going to remove the rear star and have it tinted to match the front star on Friday. Can't wait to see how it will all look when finally complete.

How do you tinted?

It's tinted with the same material used for exterior tinting of headlights and taillights. It's not the window film tint you may be thinking of. I had the lightest film they had so that it didn't make it completely blacked out, I just wanted it a slightly darker chrome. I'll send a picture of it once it's done. It should look identical to my front star in the photos above.

The Smoke Plasti-Dip was removed from the badges and star yesterday. And then the badges themselves were removed. The last step today is to get the rear star removed and then tinted tomorrow afternoon (also getting headlights slightly tinted) to match the front star. Hopefully the star pulls off relatively seamless.

Got the headlights and rear star tinted tonight. Turned out really good. I don't think the pictures do it justice.
