GLC43/63 Pricing, Financing, Ordering Information

Just thought I'd start a thread that could discuss the following: pricing, financing, order/deal info on our favorite SUV:

MY17 (GLC43): Ordering completed as of end of March 2017, production to stop at end of May 2017.

MY18 (GLC43): Order Guide out now, some people have placed orders, but pricing not finalized. Production to start in early June with first deliveries sometime in August from what I've read. (GLC63): Makes debut at NY Auto Show next week and looks to be available later this year or early next?

As of 4/6/17, 250 MY17 GLC43's showing in the USA, both Coupe and SUV with pricing from mid-$50's to high $70's. My personal opinion is you should be able to get somewhere from 8-10% off MSRP (or more), depending on your location and timing.

Base Money Factor (MY17 GLC43) for April: .00140
Residual for April: low to mid 50's, depends on term/mileage, SUV/Coupe (Edmunds is a good resource for this)
Base Lease Acquisition Fee: $795
MB Finance Rate: 2.99 - 4.99% (Term Dependent)

Keep in mind, as the Fed raises rates in the USA, money factors and financing rates will probably go higher...unless MB subsidizes.

If posting/asking about your order/deal info, try to include all financial stats, as easier to help with providing an opinion on if "good" or not.

Typical American, this is USA focused, but anyone feel free to add/comment.

250? Where are you getting that info from?

I wish one of those lined up with my desired features, as I'd rather purchase now.

Actually, I just found one that has everything'm looking for minus the 21" wheels and rear sunshades. It's also a color I wouldn't mind. I'm now wondering if I should go for it or hold out for exactly what I want.......

GLC 43
The problem I had is I couldn't wait, needed something to tow my bike out to Colorado the end of May so I was stuck with what was available and it wasn't much. Otherwise I would have waited and ordered a GLC300 fully loaded but I am very happy with the 43

Got that info from Autotrader.

Yeah, you have to be a little flexible on options for in stock vehicles.

I am pretty sure I will be ordering a GLC63 within the next year, and will be watching this forum for reviews, pricing, etc.

I'm hoping for a $70,000 starting price in the US. I just noticed the GLC is made in Germany, unlike the GLE and GLS which are assembled in Alabama.

'17 C43 --> $52,000
'17 GLC43 --> $54,900

'17 C63 --> $65,200
'18 GLC63 --> ??

I think $69-70k would be appropriate.

2018 GLC63 Breakdown Review
That is so interesting. I think given that we were originally going to buy an E class, I may go for the GLC63 Coupe. Relative to a sedan the trunk seems pretty decent, and the 2.5" lower height has to make it more car like to drive. I just hope rear seats are usable. We don't have very tall people in the back. I'm the tallest person in family at 6 feet and I'm always in the front.

I am 5'6" and find the head room in the back lacking. I test drove the 43 coupe as the GLC43 was unavailable in my area. When I sat in the back I found the roof slightly claustrophobic. If I am not mistaken the headrest of the rear seat touch the ceiling.

Yup. And if I lean my head forward and roll my shoulders forward like him then I might agree with his assertion. However, I sit with my shoulders closer to the seat and my head further back then the reviewer.

You're self described as 6 foot. Sit in the back and get comfy. If you don't agree with me then no biggie. And that is really what matters. I am just trying to give you a data point.

I really, really liked the styling of the coupe (it looks light-years better than the GLE coupe), but so many things didn't work for me. No panorama roof, the trunk is very compromised, and the 4 door coupe concept is almost blasphemy in my mind let alone a raised version.

Thomas does a great job with reviews:

A screen shot from that review and you can see how it can easily go the other way depending on how you sit. (Thomas is 6'1")

For comparison:

Saw that one too. He's 190cm which is 6'2".

Clearly headroom is less than the SUV. However it is more than the E-Class sedan according to the measurements. Plus the only people who use the back of my wife's car are children and 5'4" tall women. So I think this will be perfect.

But I will check it out in person first.

The issue I have is I want the GLC63S. And it only comes as a Coupe. The GLC63 comes in an SUV but no S model, and that one doesn't have the Nappa-texture leather dashboard option and I find the grainy leather trim to be really cheap and intolerable having had it in our C Class for the past 2 years.

Coupe is really designed for 2 people... Rear seat is not even comfortable for kids. If you plan to drive people in the back seat - consider SUV, and even SUV doesn't really have a lot of space in the back...

I don't understand. The measurements show the coupe has more legroom and headroom in back than the E Class sedan.

The GLC SUV is huge in the back. I was in the back of one on Saturday during our test drive. It's noticeably more roomy in the back compared with the E Class back seats and its massive compared with the back of the C Class we have right now.

That roof line just falls away so quickly.....it really sucks that the S is not offered in the SUV version.

Agree. I really think Mercedes Benz USA are a bunch of morons. They make a lot of stupid moves. E.g. No E63 only E63S for US market. On the E63 and E43 class no designo interiors, even though you can get them on the C63 and C43. Also on E63 no special AMG interior leather color options just base color options from E300.
