I have always bought the wheel and tire protection on my CLS and E Class but thinking with the larger sidewalls it isn't needed is that a fair statement. For those that have it any issupues with the. 20 or 21's as I am in the north and pot hole city in the winter. On the others it was worth it as any time I hit the potholes I would just pull over as I knew the tire was shot no mater how hard it hit.

I was wondering the same thing about the protection warranty. Well in my case I can't get it now as Mercedes offered the warranty at the time I was signing my life away. The rims are a lot bigger than what I am used to at 21 inches. I may add a protection plan with my insurance company as I can only imagine how much a 21 inch AMG wheel is going to cost.
