Trip Report
Greetings, just returned from a trip out to western Colorado towing my 2015 Yamaha FJR so we could ride with a group of other FJR'ers. It was an awesome trip, the weather the scenery were spectacular. Wish it wasn't so far away.
Wanted to report on how our AMG 43 performed.
Trailer and bike around 1200 lbs.
Gear, guessing 5 to 600 lbs.
Occupants 300 lbs
Total approx 2100lbs
2600 miles to and from Co averaged almost 17 mpg. On the way out we kept it between 70 and 75 MPH. On the way back we kept it at 75+.
The car had no problems towing and down shifted maybe 2 gears in the mountains.
I really like the ACC, kept the speed steady even going down hill. Seats were cozy but I wished I had ventilated seats. Overall I'm very happy with this car, really put it to the test on this trip and it never missed a beat.
Oh and my FJR ran like a champ two up averaging 50 mpg in the mountains, back home I'm around 40mpg.

Beautiful scenery, and glad you enjoyed the trip and car.
Any pictures of your GLC with the trailer setup for the trip?

After Brew1 stated that he towed his motorcycle, the first thing I did was skim through his post to see if he had pictures of the setup. Which he stated he didn't take pictures of ... How could he do that to us? I was also curious to see how the GLC43 looks with trailer hook up and stuff as I got the OEM tow hitch package.
Anyway, nice pics Brew1 of the scenery

Really sorry about that, don't know what I was thinking!!!
Anyway I couldn't notice any change in the stance but it was a bit noisy over bumps with the clanking through the stock hitch, better when loaded but I would cringe over bigger bumps. The load didn't seem to affect or upset the handling too much and there was no swaying.
I spent a couple hours getting it cleaned up and now I feel better. Would like to have seen how it would handle some of those nice switch backs and sweepers though...

So you definitely think ventilated seats are worth it? I'm looking to put in an order hopefully around september and I'm still on the fence about them.

What is it about a 2k add, probably not. The A/C works well and the seats not being leather weren't too bad. My wife could care less about ventilated seats but I love them on longer trips in Her Acura TLX just the keep the boys a little cooler
