The GLC AMG63 is now on the UK configurator, the following is how much more they cost compared to the GLC AMG43 SUV:
AMG63 SUV +£19015
AMG63S SUV +£25765
AMG63S SUV 1ST EDITION +£40919
AMG63 COUPE +£21505
AMG63S COUPE +£28255
AMG63S COUPE 1ST EDITION +£43314
No way worth the extra in my opinion.

This gets you what is probably the fastest SUV in the world (not in terms of 0-60, but around the Nurburgring. Of course that probably has no value to you, but this car isn't made for you. Nobody buys an AMG 63 model because it represent tremendous value, they buy it because it represents the pinnacle of performance engineering in SUVs.

Similar price difference too C63 vs C43. To me its worth it.

That being said, it's still not a real AMG. There is still quite a bit more added AMG stuff to the truck than GLC300 vs GLC43. Let alone, the 4.0V8TT hand built engine is pretty impressive and expensive. My wife may not know the difference between the GLC43 and GLC63S but there is enough differences for me to want one when my lease is up and then mod the hell out of it.
That 4.0V8TT and 3.8 0-60 is more than enough for me. That's a full second and tenth faster than the GLC43 0-62. Imagine an ECU tune on that

IMHO, the GLC43 is still a lot of truck. The amount of compliments I get every time I go out is amazing. I am part of the local AMG group in the DC area and a lot of the guys have way more expensive real AMG cars and trucks. I have yet to have someone say my truck is a turd or fake AMG. They even give me compliments.

I'm still staying tuned for August 30th though. May go Cayenne Turbo if they come up with a compelling upgrade over the last Cayenne. Apparently they have reduced the weight substantially, and added 4 wheel steering.

If you follow the current C43, C63, C63S pricing structure then the starting price of the c63S is only $20,000 more. That's $53K for c43 vs. $73k base for C63S. My GLC stickered at $71K. If MBUSA places the GLC43 base at $57k, I am thinking the GLC63 non-S will be about $68-69K base.
I used the Euro configuration and got a GLC43 at $57Keur vs $72k for the GLC63 non-S. I couldn't find an option to add designo interior for the GLC43 as like the US version. That alone is another $3950 that would bring the prices even closer.
Since the 18 GLC AMG DOG doesn't show a GLC63S for the SUV version then the GLC63 non-s version is definitely in reach at probably the way I want for like $80k. My dealer was aggressive so I can probably knock that price down quite a bit lower.

The other thing is the price difference compresses when you account for equipment variations. The 63 models have standard Nappa leather, standard air suspension, Some of the premium equipment is also standard. When you price out a loaded GLC43 vs GLC63 the difference is less than the difference in the base prices.
