GLC43 BMS JB1 Map2 0-60 4.6
I finally got my BMS GPS Dragy Unit last week. I havent really had an opportunity to really try it out but I did give it 2 quick 0-60mph runs on my way to get a midnight snack.
Context:
- 2017 GLC43 on 20x255 front, 20x285 rear
- BMS JB1 Map2 Tune on 98ron pump gas
- Taiwan is a very hot and humid Island, but it was pretty could outside that night. Sea level
- Didnt torque brake, just nailed the throttle. 0-60 in 4.6secs. Honestly it seemed kinda low and I was expecting lower. Like 4.2 or 4.3secs, especially since C43 guys are doing 0-60 runs in the area of 3.7-3.8 secs.
- I did not attempt any 1/4mile runs since I did not think I could avoid traffic for that long.
Anybody else with a piggyback tune instrument test any 0-60 runs? Results?

With the BMS beta you should have at least 60+hp and 80+tq in Map2 as proven by 18bora and others. If you brake torque and try again, you should at least match the CD 4.3 0-60 or better. I haven't tracked or did any videos of my 0-60 recently but I can tell you it is significantly faster than stock Mercedes claims of 4.8 0-60. My good buddy has a newer S4 and even with using launch control, no matter how many times we line up, I take him 0-60 every time. Car and Driver has the new S4 at 4.3 0-60.
Try S+, traction control off, brake torque to about 2000RPM, and mash gas. Let us know how it works out. If need be tweak the JB Beta and mess around with Map6 after doing some Map1 and Map2 comparison and logging.

Also, I thought you had the RaceChip GTS? How did that work out? When I went online and checked out the RaceChip GTS Black Series tuner, the numbers looked promising? Have you tried a few 0-60 with the BMS Draggy unit with the Racechip tune?
When spring comes around I am probably going to install the downpipes I have laying around and get a full ECU tune.

There is a user on this forum (C43) named 18bora. His experience with the BMS JB1 in his C43 sedan is well documented and gave me the extra assurance I needed to pick this over the racechip. He achieved a (personal best) 12.0@116mph quarter mile time with a custom map6 setting.
Also the BMS was much cheaper so I figured if it didnt work, I didnt really lose much.
However recently more racechip users have come forward and it seems their experience (atleast with 0-60 times and some butt dyno) are equally enjoyable and satisfying as BMS JB1 users.

My take is that everybody's Truck/Car is different. Variations on your reaction time, tires, weather, etc... all play into part. I also noticed that if you drive in Sport+ majority of the time, the Truck also drives differently than switching constantly between comfort, sport then sport+. I don't care about gas mileage so I am usually always driving in either Sport or Sport+ (remember the ECU learns your driving habits). Also, Car and Driver got the truck down to 4.5 0-60 which is displayed in google search once you search for GLC43 0-60. The recent October 2017 publication of Car and Driver has the GLC43 0-60 at 4.3 when they put the truck up against the SQ5 and Macan S. Of course there good times come from brake torquing, with 2 foot roll out and traction control off.

From inside AND outside of your car in Sport+ ?
Also can you take a pic of your undercarriage so I can see how the piping looks like?

Not leaving in boost probably hurts a lot. Turn TC all the way off (press and hold for 5 seconds ish), plant the brake, and put the throttle on the floor until it is all the way on the converter and into boost. It will make a huge difference.
