you really overgeneralize about people.
I legitimately fall in the target demographics of both a fast nice American made car and a Fast nice German car. I am an enthusiast before anything.
And funny you mention the badging because like my Charger, my GLC is going to be badge free, except the factory gets to do it in the benz.

I will pull up in front of a restaurant. They will have heard the car 1/4 mile away. It will pull up to the valet stand - all matte and yellow stripe and blacked out wheels etc.... and I'll open the door... and a 47 year old with greying hair and glasses, somewhat on the scrawny side will step out. And the whole image of the car will be shattered. :-)
I'm just not nearly as cool as the car is.
