Post your AMG GLC Lowering option with Pictures please.

In hopes that my car would tentatively be ready sometime in October, it is a good time for me to decide on lowering.
I really did not care for the Renntech cost so I left it out but these are the options I have seen and considering.

Ebay: OBD2 SUSPENSION LOWERING MODULE AMZN: $484+4.49 shipping on Amazon
$449.99 OBO
=39.99 Shipping
Track Pad and COMMAND display Operation
3 Base configs:
  • Factory (Factory level of your car when our module plugged in for the first time)
  • Low (Factory minus 32 mm)
  • Custom (by default same as Low, but can be changed by user)

Ebay: EVOLUTION LOWERING KIT / LINKAGES / LINKS
$199
Manual adjustment at suspension up to 70mm (2.75 inches)

I could not think of any reason why beyond molesting your suspension parts, but you could run both of these together.

Now, who is lowered, what did you use and where are your pictures?

Got the module finally!!! Was super easy to install, with zero issues. The seller is avail on what’s app as well, and was standing by throughout the process.

It comes standard with three options:
1. Stock
2. 32mm lowered all round
3. Custom (set ur own specs)

i drove with 32mm and the car drove really well! It’s a lot flatter, and you feel more through the steering.

I then tried 40mm front and 45mm rear, and the car looked great, but ride got bouncy.

Finally decided on 32mm front 37mm rear.

Below you will find a pic I took for fun, for the seller. Car looked great slammed.

Stock Ride Height

Lowered by 32mm all round

Seller asked me to slam it down by 50-60mm. I didn’t dare go lower than 45mm front 50mm rear.

Final setup for now 32mm front, 37mm rear. As you can see, the rear gap is bigger than the front stock.

Another angle of 32mm front, 37mm rear

Did you confirm the GLC works with this lowering module? when I spoke to him, he didn't know as 'never asked to lower a GLC yet' and is waiting for my VIN number (don't know it yet) to confirm if it's compatible.

Interesting. Hope it does, it's by far the cheapest option I've seen. I'll have my VIN in a week so I'll ask him then. I've also heard not so stella things about the lowering link option.

I have both. I currently have the Evolution Lowering Links installed and I am going to take them off and put the lowering module on. I just received the lowering module last week; however, my installer misplaced my OEM links, that I had asked them to hold on to for me. The tech guy that works on my car will be back tomorrow and I will see if they can find my stuff. If they do find them, I will revert back to stock and install the module Friday. I may also put the lowering links up for sale if the lowering module meets my needs.

Lowering Links are perfect, they are more durable than stock but you have to physically take them off every time you want to adjust them. Since I am mechanically inclined, I go to my shop to adjust them and they charge me a little bit for labor. I am never satisfied with "ride height" so I opted for ordering the lowering module. Brad65ford has lowering links on his GLC63S and hes also the one who pointed me to the Evolution kit. He has a thread with pics of his GLC63S lowered. --> GLC63S Lowered

Another option is you can get a Star Diagnostic System and set your own parameters. The lowering module cost just as much as a SDS and with the SDS you can unlock other features of the GLC and check system errors and troubleshoot stuff. I wasn't aware of the SDS system and now I am annoyed. One of my friends on the c43 forum uses it to access everything on his car. Since the airmatic height is measured/set by a code from factory you can manipulate it with the SDS.

By using the SDS well ok it should be easy, But these codes, where to find them?
This could also unlock video in motion and many other things.
All these ebay plug-in hacks are only charging us big bucks for a simple code, they require your vin to lock the device on your vehicle, easy business.
If you guys can find me codes, I can develop an open source module and app so you do things straight from your phone, I haven’t found anything similar on github, it’s about time.

This is what my friend is using. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/328038...311.0.0.vSgHig

So far, he has retrofit Apple CarPlay, removed speed limiter, and he is currently working on retrofitting the ILS headlights and coding them to do some fancy stuff. He’s also checking to see if he can find the Airmatic stuff but it needs to plugged into an Airmatic car to test. For $300-$400 this is the best thing out there. I just wished I bought this first. I have to buy one anyway since I will be doing the ILS retrofit too. If I find the airmatic settings then I will be selling my module next. Lol

@DameMD , did you get around to installing the Evolution tool?

Ebay has a 15% off coupon code today "PICKSOON" and I am thinking of ordering it.

Sorry Viper3ez, I am just now seeing this. I have the Lowering device/tool I just can't install it at the moment because "MY DAMN SHOP MISPLACED MY OEM LEVEL ARMS"!!! Man I am so pissed at the moment as they are working with me trying to source new ones. They didn't put my OEM stuff in my trunk/glove box when they finished the install that day (not my fault). I was supposed to go back and pick them up but I had to go on travel for work.

The Amazon/Ebay seller has been pretty patient as he is waiting for me to install his kit but I can't install on top of the Evolution Lowering Links since the links are not set to OEM height. My shop has spent 3 weeks looking for my original parts and finally confessed that they are lost. Hopefully I will have replacement OEM ones soon so I can install the device. The seller is active on Whatsapp so if you do buy the device you will get support.

I spoke to my shop, along with a few friends and we decide that we are going to raise the Evolution Lowering Links to Stock Height (if possible). Since the Evolution links are stronger than the OEM ones, it may be better in the long run. Once we raise the height close to factory settings, I will install the ODB2 Module and lower the vehicle to my custom settings since I will have full control of the leveling. I am trying to setup an appointment in the next couple days to raise my Links. Please stand by....

I went ahead and purchased the Renntech Lowering Module. Honestly it was so easy to install and lower the GLC. I'm a moderate user of technology and the interface was just plain simple. Took 3 min from opening the package to having the car lowered. I'll get some pictures on so you can see.

I am coming from a C63s Edition One. This car is pretty fun. I have always wrapped all my cars but I decided I will just stick to all black.

I honestly don't mind paying more coming from a reputable source... Plus I would think if something goes wrong they would just disappear and leave you stranded with no support lol. I choose to go top of the line or nothing with every car I've owned.

mother of god, a little pre-pornography warning.

if you are sticking with the all black look, any plans for darkened lights?

it is probably the pictures but the black seems to be hiding the curves a little bit.

and i love the badgeless look. i opted for rear and fender delete also.

I was going to go a light shade on the tail lights. Just to have a little more of a blood red instead of the bright red.

I typically wrap all my cars as soon as I get them but decided I was going to start with the clear bra first. I can always lay vinyl over the clear bra without damaging the clear bra itself. Plus you cant really go wrong with the all blacked out. Just waiting for my guy to wrap the running boards gloss black to add some flow to it.

The badges are off just for the clear bra but it does look damn good. I will definitely keep the side badges as it says it all lol.

I'll post up some pictures of my other cars so have some toilet paper ready for the real ****

I will attest looking at your now coupe black glc c63s its surprised how different they look. I get mixed thoughts if i like the coupe or the suv body and i think i like both lol. Rims look great. I have to remove my running board or do something else since they stick out like a sore thumb even more so when they are lowered.

Just placed an order for the Amazon Lowering Module. Have been going back and forth with the seller directly.
Paid $475 via PayPal - Goods and Services (He had offered to give me a discount for Friends and Family, but i declined - to play it safe)

Hope everything works out well, and that i will be able to post before and after pictures/ a review.

They are the 21" wheels that you can order. I had the AMG wheel caps left over from my C63 so i swapped them out!

Yeah, I would never pay F&F with an unknown seller. Great move.

Looking forward to an update.

Did you powdercoat them black, or did you cover up the silver rim edge a different way?

Actually my guy that does the wraps and clear bra threw on some Gloss Black vinyl and it didn't look too bad. He hid the seam really well and the gloss black added a little dimension to it. I am still deciding on what color to powder coat my brake calipers though.
