Do we get launch or race mode on GLC63 in the states?

Current: 2018 GLC63 Retired: 2015 S550, 2012 cls550
Do we get launch or race mode on GLC63 in the states?
Do we get either of these features on the SUV? Is it something the dealer has to enable after break in period?

After 1000 miles i believe.

Something about a $400 differential fluid change before.

check your manual.

No dealer enable, they should show as unavailable if the conditions aren't met and you try to engage them, but they should be there.

It's my understanding that it's only available on the (S) model.

I went through the manual last night and it shows as available on the non S model. Its enabled after the factory break in period at 1850 miles when the rear diff fluid is changed.

Agreed. Race Start is launch control. Race mode is another dynamic select setting like sport plus, but only in S models. Rear diff service is 3000 km, or 1875 miles. Just had mine done for just under $400. No dealer enable, you just need to meet all conditions for Race Start.

Not sure about you guys but best 0-60 I've achieved thus far is 3.75 , also it doesn't seem to matter what RPM since you can adjust up an extra 500rpm's with right paddle.

well, that is right where it's rated. maybe try a drag strip where the surface is prepped. I imagine that's what gave mototrend and C&D those wild numbers

Saw that article yesterday on a RS3 page, they weren't happy LOL. I had an rs3 and felt it was boring since I couldn't get the *** out. Hell my GLC 63s can swing the *** out with out any issues hehe.

Mine was not active till I hit 1000 miles. It's in the TCU so an ECU tune prior to the 1000 mile break in did not open it up. Worked fine at 1,001 miles though.

I don't know if the C63 cars are different. Race start was worth 3/10's for what it's worth.

Ummm, I know for a fact that I used LC way before the 1,000 mark on mine. Probably around the 400 mile mark....

My 2019 GLC63s Coupe best run with race start was 11.7 sec. in 1/4 mile.
Improvement of 0.5 sec when I run without it.
