18" Wheels on the GLC63

I come from the muscle car world were you just cannot leave things the way they are.

This has created a burning determination in me to fit 18" wheels with meaty R compound tires on the GLC63. Something about unsprung weight... whatever that means.

I am certain the rear would not be a problem but the front brakes might be challenging to get inside of 18" wheels.

I am basically just waiting to get my car next month to start braking it.

i will update this thread with my experiments .

The UK spec vehicle has an option for 19'' wheels. Since it has the same brakes as the US spec it's safe to say a 19'' option will work on yours. I haven't heard of anyone running 18's yet.

interesting. it actually looks better than the ugly 20".

i really wish the 21" design was offered in 20"

Any update on smaller wheels for the glc? Might take out some of the stiffness with more sidewalls.

I guess 19's are our only option for smaller GLC63 wheels. I think I'm ok with that.

Do you have a profile shot? I'm thinking of using a spare set of 19's from my CLK55 for winter work (next year), assuming the offset works.
