Anyone actually tried using race start or launch control?
Anyone actually tried using race start on a GLC63? Not an "S" just a GLC63. I am reading it is still available in the non "S" version. Has anyone tried and accomplished it? If yes, what was the procedure and is it in the owners manual?

I believe it's just a simple break-stand that activates it in non-S from one of the many reviews.
It also could require completion of break-in service before it would be acvtive.
I don't imagine the method in the S would work since we do not have race mode.
'It’s one of those secret handshakes. Start the 503-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8. Turn off all the driver aids such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, et cetera. Flick the driving-mode selector past Sport and Sport+ to engage Race mode. Hold down the traction-control button until “ESP Off” displays in the instrument cluster."

In my c63s coupe it was race mode, pull both paddles, right paddle up for accept and the car was activiated.
They since switched to launch control being slam brake down and gas all the way floored.
Not sure if anyone knows this... but when I was at Weistec they let me know the non "S" model does indeed have Race Mode. All you have to do is push the traction control button once (do not hold down) and the car is indeed put into "sport" mode just as race mode is activiated. Basically just gives you more freedom on wheels spinning.

On the non-S, go to sport+, turn off traction control, stand on the brake firm, press the accelerator pedal to the floor, quickly not slowly. Engine revs, let off the brake, and fly.

It is next to the COMMAND. I believe from memory it is the bottom left button. Press once for "Sport" (Basically the non-S Race Mode) and hold down for 2-3 seconds to completely turn off.

Is it in the menu? Or is there an actual button? I see lane assist, heads up display, 360 camera and a couple other buttons buy no actual Traction Control button.

Gotcha.. Thanks. I was thinking of the video and the guy looking towards the left side of the dash. Never dawned on me to look down with the other driving mode buttons. Brain Fart I guess.

Engine revved to approximately 4,000 rpm and Race Start appeared in the instrument cluster center. Let off the brake and bam...shot like a bat outa hell. Felt like a ball bat hit me in the chest as it smacked me back into the seat.
Actually spun one or more of the tires coming from the squealing noise of the P-Zero's trying to hook up.

Race Start does truly exist in the GLC63 non "S". Pressed the Traction Control button once and Sport Handling mode appeared in the dash. Set the fun button to Sport+ held the brake firmly and floored the gas.

0-60 in 2.47 sec? That's a full second off the factory advertised numbers. Any other mods besides the tires?
Why would we want to turn the traction control fully off?

Pull the right paddle to bump the rpms up higher if the surface will support the power. Or left to lower it if it's spinning too much, but the computer does a good job of managing it with the 4matic+ box.
