63s Renntech tuned
Seems a lot of people wanting to know about tuning options and results but no follow up. So wanted to drop in and leave some results. For my 2019 GLC 63s coupe I went with the renntech hht ECU+ tuner. Only had it on for a few days so far and am loving it. Normal driving has stayed the same with no real change in mannerisms. There has been significant gains in acceleration at all speeds.
I was able to do some runs with my draggy both stock and tuned. Please note this was just a quick couple of runs and that there was significant wheel spin on the cold pavement and I’m positive that even better results will come in the spring.
Stock 0-60 3.67 seconds
tuned 0-60 3.20 seconds
1/8 mile stock 7.55 seconds
1/8 mile tuned 7.18 seconds
1/4 mile stock 11.81 seconds
1/4 mile tuned 11.30 seconds

Thanks . I bought one also just waiting to get past break in until I install it. I also installed bov adapters and air filters. Are you going to do down pipes and exhaust if it ever comes out?

Probably will go ahead and order filters, although I doubt the cost is worth the minute gains. I’d be interested in downpipes as long as a retune was not required after already paying for the hht.

Does Renntech offer an ECU "burble tune" for the M276 motor?
I'm trying to see i it's possible to mod an E450 so that is barks and burbles more like a C43 when in S+. Or conversely, to make my 2017 GLC43 more playful since mine does not crackle or burble in S+.

When I was exchanging emails with Rt last year about their GLC43 tune, they said they could offer a "burble tune", as well. Asked for pricing and other info and never heard back. ??

Any plans on a exhaust system for the glc 63 after those down pipes?
Downpipes are already available. They do not require a re-tune! Since we use our own developed cats, which are located in-between the O2 sensors, installation of our downpipes do not trigger the CEL (Check Engine Light)

the times were about the same on mine when I had just a tune. I went ahead and did upgraded turbos and a new tune. Only problem is in Southern California we have been getting warmer weather and all my performance took a dump due to air quality, temp etc.
also id make sure to have over half tank of gas if you hit a strip anytime. You will probably throw codes for fuel pressure system due to over boost.

i am at 645awhp. It is a train in top end now. The last 1/4 mile I was running 11.3 but it was 89 degrees out, no wind and dry so my car was heat soaked before I got to even run. Debating on meth injection but it is my daily and I don’t need another tank to remember to fill lol

as far as testing in cold weather the car shines in that which I never get to see. Maybe 1 month all year if I can find a drag event at that time lol

I live in Denver. The DA at my local track averages about 8000’. Cold weather helps but too cold and traction becomes an issue. I like a nice and dry 65F to 70F day. There are some great density altitude websites. Next time you’re at the track check your DA.

I check DA unfortunately no drags in San Diego and forced to head up towards desert which is hit or miss.
Prep track comes into play mainly crap where street roads seem better
