Best setup for drag racing

Now that my GLC63 AMG S coupe is fully run-in I'm-planning visit to our local drag strip to establish its baseline.

I have the following questions:
1- What is the best drive program to use? S+, race or Individual?
2- Should the ESP be on or off
3- Should I let the car shift automatically or use the paddle shifters?
4- Should I use Race Start?

Thank you in advance for sharing the info.

Thanks.
For the race start do I put my foot down from the start or do I feather the throttle depending on traction?

Smash left foot to floor.
Then
smash right foot to floor.
Release left foot and feel your blood leave the front of your face.

How many times can you use Race Start before it is "unavailable until a certain distance has been driven"?

Last Friday I tried my stock GLC63 at 1/4 mile with the following results:

ET - 11.757 sec MPH - 117.43 60 fy - 1.75

That was using launch control (race start).
Without it, the best ET was 12.2 12.3 sec.

I found this in our manual:
"You can adjust RACE START to suit the road conditions: the engine speed can be adjusted by pulling one of the steering wheel gearshift paddles."

Mine has approximately 1500 miles.
I had to push very hard on both pedals to activate race start.

Does anybody know if that means that you can raise the RPM of the engine at the Race Start?
Mine went up to 3500 RPM before releasing the break.

art?

Hey Ted,

Thanks for replying. Do you recall how many miles you had when you first tried it? I'm wondering if there's a 1000 mile flag in the tcu that prevents you from using it.

The operators manual says "Race Start is only available after the vehicle has been run-in."
Which is after 1000 miles.

Thank you sir.

I found the only available "after run" in part but couldn't find the definition of what that mileage count was.

The E63 I drove at ADA adjusted this way. I cant remember the increments or if it stores it in memory but it was easy to change the launch RPMs with the paddles. The C43 guys like to keep RPMs below 3000k but they are brake boosting. '63 4 matics may respond a little differently.
