2018 GLC63 Pre-Trade & Order
Some dealers try to deny it but at the end of the day the AMG cars are still mass produced, and they depreciate like bricks. This isn’t a Porsche GT car.
Most of my $100k plus cars cost me around $600 per month amortized over 2-3 years of ownership.
Most people end up spending $1200 plus for similarly priced cars.
Here’s an example:
2014 M5. I paid $104k on an MSRP of 118 in October 2013. Most people only got 4K off. Then I sold it for $78k after 31 months in May 2016. Average cost $838 per month.
Most people would have bought at 114 and traded in at $63k (best trade in offer I got). That would have resulted in a monthly cost of $1645 which is almost double.
So my savvy buying and selling saved me about $10k a year on my M5. If you multiply that by 2-3 cars owned over 40 years, you’re talking about $1,000,000. Then add the 10-12% per annum yield in a PE fund and you’re looking at $15 million in opportunity cost.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
We're not getting our first GLC 63's until March/April but I'm concerned they're going to facelift the interior to the new Command a few months after that . . .
New GLC infotainment setup maybe?
I prefer Dinamica and alcantara for my performance cars so it works out
In my region ( NE- Virginia to Maine), there are only 11 GLC63W4 and 28 coupes coming
Yep. My build ordered in June 2017 (the day the order banks opened) not slated for build until 3D Feb 2018. Still no pricing on the driver assistance pack.
