Mercedes 19" Wheels for GLC63 apparently not available in the US

I am currently looking into purchasing my first Mercedes-Benz, a 2019 GLC63, however I am having a hard time coming to terms with Mercedes USA's approach to offering their clients suitable wheel and tyre options for those living in parts of the country where it snows in the winter and/or the roads are in terrible condition. I may well be missing something but my research seems to indicate that the only "officially" available options are:
  1. 265/45 ZR20 on 9.5" x 20" wheels / 295/40 ZR20 on 10" x 20" wheels
  2. 265/40 ZR21 on 9.5" x 21" wheels / 295/35 ZR21 on 10" x 21" wheels
There are a rather limited set of winter or all-season options available in these sizes.

Given the state of the roads in the Tri-State Area (I live in NJ), my strong preference preference is for a 19" solution probably with all-season tyres.

The perfect solution, from my perspective, is found in the first image of this vehicle on the GLC 64 page on Mercedes-AMG website and again in this image:

Scrolling down a little further yields:
As standard, the GLC 63 4MATIC+ is equipped with 48,3 cm (19-inch) 10-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in titanium grey and with a high-sheen finish featuring tires of size 235/55 R 19 (front) and 255/50 R 19 (rear).
A little digging through some of the excellent documents that have been uploaded to this forum, identifies these wheels as:
  • 8J x 19 H2 ET19 with part number A 253 401 34 00 running 235/55 R19 101Y
  • 9J x 19 H2 ET18 with part number A 253 401 35 00 running 255/50 R19 103Y
Again, from my perspective, these would offer the sort of compliance that the roads around here demand and a far greater set of all-season or winter options. My problem is that my local dealer claims no knowledge of these wheels so unless I am missing something, I would have to order them from Europe. Most puzzling.

I didn't even consider 19s, and I live in Chicago. I went with 20s (staggered set up). HRE wheels has a flow form fitment and Michelin Alpin 5 winter tires are Mercedes spec for winter. Mine are on order, hoping the wheels come in next week, so I can switch out soon. Good luck.

at the end of the day, it is an SUV and 20" wheels with 40/45 wall ratio is plenty sidewall for winter tires. I agree that tires are limited but 19" tires are not much more either.

All you need is 1 good set and if you are considering all season tires. i hear the DWS06 Contis are pretty good. I have no experience with them yet.

Blk/Blk GLC43 AMG WAGON
19's will tuck causing most to run an aftermarket spacer (H&R).
The car loses its aggressive look.
Better off running 20's and get both looks and function for winter.
I live in Ma and an all season ain't gonna cut it in the snow.
You guys get similar weather and your roads ain't any worse than the ones up here.
255/45 front and 285/40 in the rear is plenty of sidewall for winter.
I will post my set once I get it installed either this week or next
as I went with a 20" set up.
