GLC63 Brakes & Cost
Why not do the job yourself... It aint hard and could be a learning experience lol.
If they will tell me that I need to replace everything I will be
pissed.
My M3 didnt need brake pads for 3 years of use. Very confused with our car.

You cant compare our GLC to a M3, the M3 is about 1000lbs lighter.
Anyways, you guys think no point of arguing the case to the dealership? I just wasnt expecting such a high maintenance car.
My tires is already on wires and left is fine. Started to eat tires at 8k miles and American tires didnt even want to do wheel rotation at slight wear

Your car has wear sensors all GLCs do. When mine went off I had a ton of pad thickness left. Squeaking from these brakes is pretty typical. It's not an indicator of worn pads or discs.
My '43 wore out the rear brakes at about 26k, front are still good. It's weird how they seem to wear out the rear brakes first. It's the exact opposite of what I'm used to. All shops seem want to scrap the disks/rotors even my indy shop didn't want to mess with machining them.

Hopefully dealership covers the cost and fix it.
Thank you for your help on the matter.

Thanks for your input

Tires, check the treadwear rating... factory tires seem to come with a very low tw of 200ish.... i went to Continental with tw rating of 560.... harder rubber ? sure... you want crazy traction you get lower tw rating and go thru tires fast...
The cost is ridiculous... it's 2hr project to do all 4 pads/rotors... MB OEM parts on the ML63 was about a $1k. That worked out to $1k an hour for the dealer ? ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME.
Did it myself in under 3 hrs with basic tools.... only trick is getting the sequence to release the emergency brake...

or a really poor one.....hmmmm
