Tune and Warranty
Wifey just purchased a 2018 GLC 63 and an extended warranty until Oct 2027. I would love to get a tune on it. Has anyone had any bad experiences with warranty or a dealer when having to have something repaired under warranty while having a tune (from any mfg such as Eurocharges, Renntech, etc.)?

that being said with our handheld you can flash stock for dealer visits and won’t have any issues in getting regular service as needed

I think, if something happens to your engine or tranny, you can be sure, that u will loose your warranty because of that tune.
What was the price for the warranty? I was just wondering, as I have on my car only 2 years warranty, what is gonna be the price for another 2 - 3 years of extension. I am in Europe, so probably will be different price than in US.
Does anybody know, what can I expect from MB for lets say 1 year of extension?

I haven't tuned mine... I'm still hesitant to do so, but my local dealer is a RennTech dealer. Maybe you give you local dealer a ring and see what they say? I spoke to mine, and while they charge 2hrs labor for install, testing before and after (yeah, kinda BS) they also claim no warranty issues and that they will work with you to ensure there are no warranty issues. I don't know exactly what that means, or if push came to shove what would happen, but it was interesting to hear.

I have always tuned my AMGs and never ran into a problem with the dealer. I took it in without flashing back to stock for services and they never say anything. A simple tune won’t blow your tranny or motor if you are warming the car up before getting on it and most of all warming up before any launches.
There are 2 guys that blew motors. They aren’t on here but on Instagram. 1 was Weistec stage 2 tune the other was a DME stage 3

I am not usually an "extended warranty" guy but we were offered "Premier Elite" warranty for 7 years or 100k miles for $3,100. The vehicle currently has 10k miles and is a 2018.

If you blow an engine or tranny, they will probably investigate.
For smaller unrelated repairs, they're not going to invalidate your entire warranty because of a tune. I told my dealer I had a tune and have had small things done under warranty.
