GLC43 MAXIMUM TUNE(Stg 3)

Hi everyone
ive got a glc43 amg and just had dps installed plus Racechip and the performance upgrade was noticeable. Now I'm planning to go further with the tune and install an air intake plus a turbo upgrade and ecu tune! The estimated power output would be around 580 with this plan. Any Ideas? Am I doing it wrong?
thanks in advance

No way you are going to get 580 hp out of a 43. Are you suggesting that your going to try to stack a piggyback and a ECU? I would think at most, you may come up with a 100hp with downpipes and a proper ECU tune.

No I'm removing the piggyback and making an ecu tune and a turbo upgrade. I think I'll need to upgrade the intercooler too

Are you even breaking even getting a 43 with all those mods vs just getting a 63? Turbos are expensive.

Out of curiosity, why cant it if the B58 can. They're both twin turbo inline sixes.

Because building is more fun that absolute power. For the same amount of cash I'd rather build a 43 than just have a 63, and I'm sure there are many others. That's why they make the parts in the first place.

Well the internals of both engines are different and as others mentioned it is a V6 in the Mercedes not an inline 6.

M276 was initially designed as NA / low boost application engine so guts arent that rugged to take lots of abuse. And its not i6 its v6 engine.

They make parts not because its that fun to build but because poor man amg owners want to be as fast as 63 for less. Most of demand is generated by that reason.

Swear you people that keep saying oh you should get a 63 instead of worrying about tuning any of the 43's. Do you guys ever just shut the f****** up? Why can't you just let someone enjoy what they're currently driving and do what they want to it instead of shooting your negative *** comments everywhere. Then you have the nerve to say turbos are expensive please 63s are expensive. And they're not even as dependable. I work 2 years in a Mercedes dealer in the service department, and in that whole time 4 cylinders came in, and the 4.0 V8 came in with engine failure. Never in that time I ever seen the three liter by turbo V6 come in for any sort of major engine failures. And just for the record you can get 575 horsepower out of the three liter. Which is where I'm at now with mine. By the way, problem free.

You're both right and you're both wrong. The GLC 43s never came in an inline configuration for the six cylinders. The GLE43 however is an inline 6 cylinder.

dude , dont take it personal but .. lets admit merc did a very good home work and 276 is much better that 272 and overall mostly problem free good reliable engine. and thats it . now simple physics of materials resistance steps in and tells us that very V6 design has just X amount of metal and rigidity to withstand Z pressure compared to m177 having Y beef to tolerate same Z abuse. at some point in my life i used to build and tune engines for over 10 yrs and some bone stock honda k20 or k24 ( one of the best and most robust i4 engines this world had ever seen ) making 600+ whp at the dyno on e85 and perfect tune and conditions is no surprise to me. but here comes another but. for how long and under what circumstances or use ? for some reason, guess what , guys who wanted their engines to last never went over 400whp and it worked that way. ive seen many dreamers like you pushing it looking for fun or the limits and ive seen em paying dearly for that along with lots of tears and disappointment. so i really dont want some noobs to take you childish rant for granted and destroy their cars and id like to throw in some common sense and experience and let you know that you can try as hard as you can to jump out of your pants but you can never make that v6 to be a v8. i can crank m177 to 750 hp and trash bash it all day long left and right and it will last while you can slap on mega snails on 276 and crank out 550 whatever and pray hard every time u make more than 3 -4 stoplight pulls in a row. you can play with heat management trying to bulletproof it but its still gna be a lottery, thin ice very few people would like to walk. besides all that v6 can never have that brute character, mood and respond of v8 engine let alone SOUND and low end thrust and yada yada. so whatever u do in the end youll get what you paid for. like i said, i know that kitchen from inside and all that tuning industry exists to make $ out of pleasing smarta$$es who want more for less and it works more or less safe up to some reasonable level like up to +10-25% , depending on how good and strong is the engine. 276 was initially made as a naturally aspirated design and with its original output it was squeezed pretty well at the factory, i dont see any real cars tuned significantly higher than 306 hp , then they dropped displacement reducing cr to allow problem free boosting and 385 is already over 20% so pushing it over some 450 is quite a game. do whatever crazy u want just dont tell others its allright and safe to do.

I have done this I own a 2018 GLC 43 and an E63. I've done pretty much every mod you can do to the GLC 43. And I'm putting out 572 to the wheels on E30. I suspect there's a lot of naysayers out there that really never actually paid too much attention to any of the 43s with the 3.0. but mostly that's probably a lot of those guys and gals sitting around jerking off their delusional BMW friends and talking about how great the b58 power plant is in the BMWs. Or the same people trying to make sense out of Toyota throwing a BMW engine in their not so super "supras" . I think it's one of those engines that has a ****load of character and actually has some decent potential. No you're not going to put out 800 horsepower, No you're not going to put out 700; but who cares! Is it really just a pissing contest to see who can put the most power out? I also love it when Mercedes aficionados like to sniff their noses at these cars with the 3.0 biturbo V6 and the offer used comment "just get a V8".

As the old saying goes, if you ain't got nothing good to say, just shut the F up!. 😁😘🪓

Then what can it hold, roughly? I've been searching for people that have pushed and found the limits of the M276 but haven't found anything.
