I Went Racing and The GLC Killed

First thing is first. My vehicle is modified.
DME Tuning Stage 1 Tune
Amazon/Ebay Lowering Module (Set for race: -35F, -40R)
Tires: Continental ExtremeContact Sport 275/40/20, 315/35/20. Worn pretty low at 10k miles
Wheels: Vertini (Width: 9/10.5). Slightly lighter than stock
Track: Motorsports Ranch (MSR) Houston - 2.4 mile counter-clockwise

This is a video of my 3 middle laps during my 2nd of 3 sessions so basically halfway through my day. There was the fourth session I opted out of because my brake pads were done and gas at the track was $5.60 per gallon versus $2.00 per gallon outside

Interesting Numbers:
8 laps per session
~20-minute sessions
Used 8 gallons (half tank) of gas per session which is approximately 1 gallon per lap or 2.4mpg.
Decided too late I was going to run so I did not replace brake pads. Wore them down to the sensor which was not happy I was still racing

Looks like fun. This is why I didn't want a used vehicle. No one buys an AMG to putt around in.

To be honest, most AMG buyers do not really use their vehicles. I am almost always the only AMG vehicles at every activity I participate in.
The is one GLA45 that does autocross with my local SCCA and that is it.

At the dragstrip, there was a C63 and E63 out about a year ago when I was out but over the last year, I have seen no AMG vehicles at the strip. i am a regular.
You are more likely to see a BMW M3/M4 than an AMG at all racing events I attend.

I do put my cars to use and if there is a part to be broken, I will probably break it and fix it before it ever sees a second owner.

Bmw M4, BMW X5, Audi S3
I agree with @viper3ez. I have never seen any Amgs at the track when I use to go with a friend of mine and only a few Amgs at cars and Coffee meet ups locally. At the track its always Bmw's mostly M's and porsches galore with a few exotics sprinkled in. Is the cooling systems in the Amg's comparable to the BMW M models for track duty? I don't usually generalize but I get the sense the majority of Amg owners are older individuals who use their vehicles strickly as daily cruiser versus BMW M who caters more towards a younger crowd many of which go to the track.

It looks like fun.
Can you post pictures of your wheel/tire setup?
Especially the view from the rear.

I would not disagree with you either.

There is a reason we have S63, GLS63, S65*, S63 Coupe in the the AMG family whereas BMW would not even make an M7. More M buyers are buying M for sporty use. More AMG buyers were buying AMG because, AMG.
