Question Vehicle lowering in Sport mode

Hi everyone. Does your GLC63 SUV get lower to the ground when you activate the Sport drive program? My 2020 model does NOT, which contradicts the owner's manual (pp. 22 of the U.S. AMG GLC supplement, linked below). My 2017 GLC43 got lower in Sport mode.

In Sport+, my GLC63 drops around 3/8" (1 cm), as described in the owner's manual.

You can check your car's ride height by going to Performance > Vehicle in MBUX. Press the second from the right button on the bottom of the screen (it shows a symbol of a car driving uphill). The resulting screen has a vertical bar on the right with -1, 0 and +1. If the indicator shows -1, your car is in the low position.

Thanks!

Hi bud, thanks for your feedback!

I'd really appreciate hearing from other AMG GLC owners too, so I can troubleshoot with the service team. Thanks again.

My 2020 GLC63 does not lower in sport, it only lowers in sport +. I have a coupe, not sure if that makes a difference.

2020 GLC 43
I've got a 2020 GLC 43 and while I have not looked at the lowering setting in MBUX as you describe, I have observed the vehicle lower itself in sport plus mode. See this video here at the start where it raises from its lowered position (sport plus) into its higher position in comfort and vice versa:
. Watch it at 2x playback speed to see it more clearly.

Mine definitely lowers in sport + , but I notice that sometimes it lowers in sport and sometimes it doesn’t. Not sure if certain conditions have to be met or something.

The service manager is looking into the issue. He agrees that my car is behaving differently from what is specified in the owner's manual and in the dealer shop manuals.

So it looks like it will only lower if the shocks are set to the stiffest setting (2 lights on). So you can be in any driving mode and if you hit the stiffest setting, it will lower the car.
