GLC 63 S Warranty Issue
the first time I drove it I heard a whinging sound from the engine bay. After a few trips to the MB dealership they tried replacing a few parts but the sound didn’t disappear.
FYI the vehicle still had 10 months left on the 3 year Manufacturers warranty. They agreed the sound isn’t right and it’s a warranty issue.
eventually in June they asked me to bring it in and leave with them so they can do extensive testing with support from MB HQ in Germany
so they believe that it’s the oil pump and need to replace it. The part will be here in about 3-4 weeks.
it’s now August, 3 months after I left it with them and 7 months after I pointed out the issue.
the dealer has been absolutely awesome and tried to look after me with a decent loan car and regular updates.
my grievance is that I have not had the pleasure of a defect free car since I brought it, 7 months ago, and it’s taken forever to find the issue, assuming the replacement oil pump is the issue
Should MB be doing more? Should they offer to extend my manufacturers warranty by say 6 months?
I just feel after spending big $$ I’ve been robbed of some of my enjoyment and trouble free motoring.
I love the car - it’s a sensational drive and sound, but the gloss is gone and I’m hesitant to hold on to it knowing the process has been long and they really haven’t given me confidence at all that they will step up if something else goes wrong, especially with the warranty coming to an end
anyone have any similar experience or advice on how to get MB to give me back the confidence I need?

It is easy to have an issue with a car and come to "hate" the brand, if this has tainted your MB experience, then try something else.
