2024 GMC Canyon Denali..... 2018 Audi SQ5
I haven’t seen this posted. It’s a review by Car and Driver. Another 0-60 of 5.3, -4 slower than the X5 but close in the 1/4 mile. This might be a Mercedes decision to keep acceleration smooth adding boost gradually because mine is very linear. Just comparing it to our SQ5 that is about 4.9 but claimed 5.1. The Audi has a faint hint of Turbo lag but when the Boost hits it’s anything but linear. Haven’t driven an X5 lately so can’t comment.
i don’t agree with the comments on the grab handles and steering wheel blocking visibility. They don’t comment about driving mode either and might not have tried different modes.

- The ML was introduced in 1997, not '98 (I had one of the first ones in 1997)
- I assume they had the base Airmatic in the test car; I'd like to see a comparison between that and the ABC system on comparable vehicles.
- I, too, disagree with the grab handle comment, but somewhat agree with the steering wheel blocking the gauges. The very top is cut off when I get things adjusted otherwise to my liking.
- They do mention trying Sport and Sport+ modes in the sound comment.
- I wonder if the Cooper tires affected the skidpad results
- There's a button on the steering wheel for voice commands if you feel silly talking to the car!

Good point. Well, I find the ride very comfortable in Comfort, even with 21s, and in the two Sport modes it is composed. If this were my daily driver i would have an AMG or X5M, but since I've got my sporty car and my wife drives it 95% of the time maybe I'm not critical enough.

Ordered new GLE 450 4/26
Hi everyone
I am another one of the several people who have been following this forum silently. It has been very helpful!
I ordered a custom build GLE 450 on 4/26. My SA says he has no idea when it will be built but Mercedes is having some production delays so it could take up to 6 months. This would be my first Mercedes.
I ordered designo Red with espresso/magma grey leather interior. AMG exterior. Does not have e-abc but has airmatic. It also has the driver assistance package.
I have no no idea how long would I have to wait. Judging my some discussion on this forum, might be atleast 4-5 months. I plan to patiently wait for now, but I don’t know when my patience is going to run out.
Any tips/input is welcome. Thank you!

Has anyone ordered their GLE with option 581 4 zone climate control? I finally sat in a demo today and noticed the rear has two vents. My question is if the 581 option adds any additional vents towards the top of the rear doors near the grab handles?
The dealer says yes, but I checked on mb configurator and doesn't mention anything about additional vents.

Question for those of you with the AMG exterior - any difference in the exhaust sound vs stock setup?

Can someone post the page with all the options that comes stuck to one of the windows? Want to compare some standard codes with what was ordered here. If you want to black out totals or any other information is understandable.

Outdated Owner's Manual?
The "GLE Operator's Manual' that came with my car is dated inside the back cover, "As of 20.02.2018" (2/20/18); it is 629 pages. The PDF version that was posted in this forum earlier is dated, "As of 27.09.2018" (9/27/18); it is 651 pages. I have not checked yet to see if the onboard electronic manual is dated.

Hi there! I am new to the forum and would like to get some feedback on GLE350 4M order I put in recently. I ordered regular airmatic suspension (not the active one) with AMG line package. What has been your experience with it on AMG package? I believe Ron.S has one on a GLE350 as well. Additionally, I got lunar blue for exterior color. It is a pretty dark color and I wonder what people have experienced in different lighting conditions? Does it look black at night? Appreciate your time!

I have Lunar Blue (Cavansite Blue in Canada) on my 2016 GLE. Yes it's dark, and you mostly can't appreciate the metal flake unless it is bright and sunny (and only if your car is supremely clean). I find it a bland colour, but I had no choice since I was coming off a lease and it was the only car available with all the other options I wanted. I have an Emerald Green on order, but at least I know what to expect with that colour.

Ron.s has a 450. I would guess the 350 Airmatic is tuned for its lighter weight but I can't point to one on here. The AMG Line package dictates 20" or 21" wheels. The 21s are going to be heavier, and I would hope the suspension tuning takes that into account as well.

Airmaitc
Thanks Greg! It is impossible to find one with airmatic to drive. I like how the base suspension drives. It is definitely better than what I have on my GLC which I find it to be too stiff. It drives nice on a flat road but when you hit a pothole, you feel it real good. I am little bit worried about reviews online about air suspension. Hopefully, Ron.S may share more of his experience.
