2016 GLE 350
Good to have someone new here! Yes, we have attached that guide to multiple posts starting with #884 on 11/5 (I know this is a long thread). That article is incorrect about Airmatic as standard, and also, the 350 will not be available until Summer.

Whille some reviews have suggested the 4 cylinder is adequate, I know I would not be happy with it. The 302 hp in my current ‘12 is just enough. However, in trying to stick to a budget I might consider it - naw, 6 or nothing!

My last 3 GL/GLS's were all 550's with the V8 so it would be to much of a shock to my system to go from that engine to a V4. It's the new inline 6 for me!

2016 GLE 350
So I have the 2016 GLE 350 4Matic with the same 302 hp and I also feel it isnt enough. I can't see getting a 4 banger in a ~ $60k MB... But would also like to stick to a "reasonable" monthly payment. Optioned up, I think the 350 would only be about $3k less than the base 450, so how much more could that actually cost me? Plus I'm saving the environment with the hybrid part of the 450 right?

This is one recent review of the new engine as outfitted in the CLS: "The refiring of its new 3.0-liter inline-six, which goes virtually unnoticed in stop-start operation, is likely the Mercedes-Benz CLS450'S most endearing quality. Yet the seamlessness of this most casual of operations is but a prelude to the engine's full performance. It is a sweetheart of a thing: part fluid, intuitive response; part effortless motivator of steel and aluminum. Some cars have reactors under their hoods. Some simply have engines. This one has a just-right selection of bits that move in facile unity to get you where you want to go. We're not idle flatterers of every new engine, but this one, this return to six in a row for Mercedes is something genuinely special."

Well, the price difference is $4,950, so with just the two options you mention the 350 4MATIC would be $2,340 less than the stripper 450. As far as saving the environment, not really. The 48v Integrated Starter Generator adds power, enables a seamless start/stop operation, and can help economy over the same engine without it, but the Turbo 4 is still going to get better overall economy. The driving experience of the 6 is going to be much more satisfying, though, if you are a driver and don't just want an appliance to get you from one point to another.

Are you certain it's valid toward the purchase of a 2020 GLE 450?

Seattle might be a candidate because of the tech and wealth. One article mentioned 3 locations at 2 weeks each so that could be at least 50-70 over the year. California is a large market so that’s where they might concentrate West Coast pop ups.

Yea, it's a beautiful color. I'm considering switching my build to the Mojave Silver after seeing this video. I would still go with the 21" multi-spoke wheels with black accents. My last three MB's where designo Diamond White, it may be time to switch things up.

Mojave Silver
Mojave looks great under the show lighting; I was not so impressed with it in all the 9/12 press release photos. I guess it's pretty similar to Titanium Silver, which I had on my W164 and liked.
