agree. on none of those cars did that flat black grill plastic look decent, in contrast to the shiny, glossy paint.

Scent dispenser is a good guess, but seems like that would be distributed through the HVAC system? It must be for an option because it does not appear in this image from the Konfigurator:

I don't know how it hooks up, but the scent diffuser is in the glove box.

The temp sensor for the interior should be located behind there...

Wouldn’t that be in every vehicle? Why isn’t in the other image I posted?

May have something to do with 4 zone climate control option...but I'm making an educated guess

If you look inside of it, does it look like a little speaker? I ask because the E300 with the Acoustic Comfort Package has an annoying feature:
" engine noise over speaker"- I would hope that MB didn't do the same thing in the GLE. I don't need to hear artificial engine noise inside my car (I hate that).

I don’t think the GLE has that, and that’s too small for that purpose; typically the audio system speakers are used.

The two reviewers in the video I posted at #1823 specifically mention that MB is not using any artificial noise-cancellation tricks to mask engine noise. The comments are at 2:30 minutes.

I spotted what appears to be working exhaust tips on a GLE 450 in this German video:

Here is the link to the full video:

Maybe Mercedes decided to listen all the negative feedback regarding the fake exhaust tips and made a last minute change. I hope so.

This was listed as part of the AMG Line Exterior Package; we just weren't sure exactly what it meant until now.

Good catch - that is a plus for those getting the AMG Exterior package! On the downside for those with E-ABC, it's clear we don't get the huge fixed caliper brakes with that option, as this vehicle had it and only had the brake package that is part of AMG Line Exterior.

Why isn't there one in the 2nd picture? Seems like every vehicle would need one unless it's part of an option.

This is for 450
I found this on my Canadian order guide, for the 350 if you order AMG exterior only upgrade to 345mm front. 400mm will be a 15” disc

It seems to be there since both pics are at different angles of the push start button and the sensor being located underneath that area.. That sensor should be standard for the front and the rear being located elsewhere.. I'm not sure if MB uses infrared or the seatbelts to monitor occupant body temp to automatically adjust the climate control output..

Okay, had not seen the size indicated; 400 mm is actually 15 3/4". What I just figured out is that with AMG Exterior Package you automatically get 20 or 21” wheels, which is why the E-ABC package notes that 20” or larger wheels are required. E-ABC does not get the special brakes available at least in Germany (at a substantial cost). To reiterate what I posted in #1500:

Standard brakes w/ undrilled rotors__________Upgrade brakes w/ AMG Exterior Package ___________Brakes w/ drilled rotors & fixed calipers (German Technolgy Pkg.)

Will we or won’t we....that is the question? Maybe Monday or Tuesday all will be cleared up by a new DOG and/or a Configurator!

Has anyone asked their dealer what the hold up on the updated DOG is?

I forgot to mention about inventory. I checked several large dealers in the West and they are virtually out of GLE’s. I’m sure there are more in other areas. One dealer that had over 80 in November is now down to just 4 now. There’s no reason for MB to hold back.
