Enjoying this thread.... thanks for all of the updates!
Anyone have any idea when the new plug in hybrid version of the updated GLE might be released? Thanks. I heard the range could be 30-50 miles with the new batteries.

2020 GLE 350 Demos
I drove a 2020 GLE 350 yesterday on Long Island (NY). Dealer has 2 for demo purposes (not for sale ... yet). The dealer reports that all his 450s are spoken for. So, here's my speculation: why demo and/or promote 450s that you can't provide, better to use the demos to promote the 350s that you'll have available.
On another point, the 2020 GLE is significantly more expensive than previous years. Owners with prior years GLEs coming off lease will find their monthly lease going up by potentially as much as $250. That will be a rude surprise and not likely to put many folks in the mood to spec an $8200 suspension option no matter how 'game-changing' it may be.
Like many of the very helpful people on this list, I have gone all the way. My order comes to $91,450 MSRP. Dealer told me to expect delivery in the last week of March or first week of April.

Dallas area
I'm in the Dallas area, and my dealer called me and said that one 450 and three 350's are in. Demo only, no sales. No e-abc. The dealer is getting them prepped and I will go drive the 450 around noon tomorrow.
I was on the way home driving up from Austin yesterday (headed north to Dallas) and saw an open hauler headed south with some '20 GLE's on it, likely headed there to Austin or San Antonio. So, it appears that they are beginning to hit now.

Hi Joe --
When I talking to the guy, I never seem to remember to ask for the NetStar code.
Back on October 9th I visited with my local dealer Gen'l Mgr looking to spec out a '19 GLE AMG 43. He explained the significance of the new '20 GLE and I was hooked. The order went in as soon as NetStar would accept it. Initially, I was told delivery was possible in late Feb. early Mar. Yesterday the owner told me late March, early April delivery. My PO# is about 600 lower than Greg's and I have a VIN 4JGFB5KE1LA020XXX.
My problem appears to have been with NetStar. My guy would send me a screen grab of the order and something I'd spec'ed was missing. I'd call and point it out. He'd sent me an update and the missing items were added, but so was something I didn't want. That's how I lost DC5 Acoustic Comfort and D11 Roof Spoiler, both of which I wanted, and ended up with DB4 Third Row Seat which I had not wanted.
When I pointed that out, my guy said the 'the order is locked, no changes can be made'. I grumbled a bit and he said 'no problem, we'll just put in a new order, I won't have any problem selling your car.'
But of course, I would lose my place 'on line.' But I'm so excited by the prospect of this new GLE that I just decided to stick with what I had.

I ordered the first morning NetStar opened up. I've always been 1st decade February production. At first it showed "production date" as 2/27, but despite no changes on my end it moved to 3/14. Today it shows mine as 3/13. So, late March/beginning of April delivery it looks like.

Greg,
Any chance I can track my GLE450 on netstar?

Sorry about your saga. No way I'd take a car with the third row option.

Sorry about your bad luck. You might consider your dealers offer and order what you want with the understanding that you can still take the first one if it’s delayed longer than you can tolerate. I think a lot of us can share your feelings after we have been waiting almost 4 months and we are almost there at last.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for your sympathy, and Greg's also, but it's far from the most challenging (irritating?) let down I've experienced, and the good news is I've been advised that they'll make it up to me. So we'll see what develops. Meanwhile, I'm encouraged that my order shows a VIN.

did you guys ever find legroom, head room, shoulder room dimensions for this vehicle? it's kind of amazing, i don't think those specs have been made available yet.
sure i've heard 2.7" more second row legroom, but no actual exact measurements of all interior dimensions.

On rear seat legroom - way noticeable improvement - please note V167 goes to a "GLC type seat" so V167 2nd row passengers sit a bit "lower" since lower cushion is lower - in turn with that lower cushion - 2nd row seatback can be lowered flat with bottom cushion in place (similar action to GLC 2nd row seat) - 2nd row seatback is fixed/one position.
Note with 2nd row "up" - rear cargo space V167 visually appears a bit "less" than the W166.

2021 Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 before it arrives in dealers next year. Stay tuned.
Sorry I missed the Hybrid part. The GLE AMG 53 is a Hybrid, likely late 2019 or early 2020.

As I previously posted, my wife and I test drove a GLE 350 two days ago and after setting the drivers seat exactly where I wanted it, I got into the 2nd row and the leg room is very spacious, best I've personally observed in any SUV. Check with local dealership, they may have one or two demo units for you to try yourself.

Black W AMG Ext and Night Package
if you ordered a black one (or a lunar Blue) with the AMG Line Exterior and the Night Package and the 20” AMG rims, you may want to watch this 20 or 30 times like I did:
